helpful staff

"Basic" was just that!! However, breakfast was includud. Some of the shared facilities were very poor and smelt offensive!mnBuilders working on roof during my stay and frequently walking past my windon - quite noisy! The room had a smell of dampness and old smoke.

Cute Bed and Breakfast - Very friendly

Posted Nov 13, 2013
Pros: Friendly staff, good food
Cons: Beds could be improved. Not terrible (we stayed a week and I didn't get any new injuries)
Location: Not a whole lot in the area. It's more residential. Underground stop is near by.
I'm going to be honest. The beds weren't super comfortable, and the pictures on their website look nicer than the actual room. BREAKFAST WAS DELICIOUS! It was either a traditional English breakfast (fried egg, tomato, toast, sausage, bacon [English bacon is different than American bacon, still delicious though], and baked beans) or Continental breakfast (toast, cereal). Both are served with milk, apple juice, orange juice, tea, or coffee. Clearly, one of my favorite parts. That being said, we had a very pleasant stay. Everyone who worked there was very nice and accommodating. They can help you with directions to anywhere you want to go. People are there 24/7. Not a bad walk to the Underground station. Good neighborhood. We never felt unsafe. It's not the fanciest place, but you're not paying an arm and a leg. I would stay there again.

Pros: Please note that currently (November 2013) there is a construction in that hotel.
Cons: Definitely cleanliness of the rooms can be improved
Location: Location was good, 5 minutes from the underground station

Great staff, price and location!

Posted Oct 20, 2013 on Hotels.com
This hotel was the perfect one for our budget. It was not fancy and had the basic one needs when traveling. The staff was super friendly and helpful they provided 5 star service. The metro was a 8 minute or so walk and the neighborhood was quaint and felt safe. The only drawback were the stairs when it came to load your luggage, not fun! Also our private bathrooms toilet did not flush and was never fixed during our 5 night stay. But they gave us a 20 pound refund and we had access to a toilet next door. They offer a free breakfast which was nice. I recommend this hotel to anyone on a budget who is okay with sleeping in modest yet comfy room. Had our toilet been fixed, than I would rate it a 5.
