Pros: The room and the breakfast
Cons: Free wifi would be useful. Storage of the luggage should not be chargeable.

Nice hotel near Hyde Park

Our room although a small double was comfortable and clean. We had a good breakfast which set us up for the day sightseeing. I would definitely use again. :-)

Basic hotel

Posted Jul 13, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Room tired could do with redecoration TV remote being available Double glazed windows or reduce noise from outside
Location: Easy access to underground Hyde park Short walk to shops and portobello market
Room was in basement area lots of noise from road TV remote was missing had TV high up on wall so had to stand on a chair to turn on or change channel went to reception to report no TV remote but showed little interest claiming they did not have another one and advised standing on the chair. Outside only window was air conditioning units so very noisy if window open

Good location. Not far from railway station

Posted Jul 3, 2014
Pros: Food was very basic but you had plenty of it & was very tasty.
Cons: The rooms and corridors were in great need of decoration, wall paper torn & paint work peeling.
Location: Location was good & not too far from railway station & the underground stations. Shops were nearby & there were good walks in the park nearby.
Rooms quite small but OK for a short stay. Room decor very tired & in need re decoration. A long walk to room, upstairs and then down stairs from the lift. Not very easy to get to, carrying suit cases.

There are no words.

Pros: Not much... read experience.
Cons: A LOT!!!
Location: Within walking distance to Kensington Palace (Will & Kate's place); within walking distance to Queensway Station & Notting Hill Station
Forget about early check-in -- 2pm is the earliest your room will be ready, I regrettably promise. The hotel staff is NOT knowledgeable about London at all -- they didn't know where St Paul's Cathedral is; they don't know how long it takes to get to King's Cross Station; they don't know the terminals at Heathrow -- again, they are no help. One of them wouldn't order a car for me to Heathrow the night before our flight home because I didn't know which terminal I was going to be flying out of and wouldn't know until the next morning; I couldn't rest the whole night because I was worried I wouldn't get a car soon enough in the morning... ridiculous on their part. Also, the television in our room wasn't working when we got there; the stand was broken, so it was turned down toward the floor, and it wouldn't turn On at all; they finally fixed it, but the remote never worked... aggravating. The hairdryer in the room never worked either. The air conditioner worked once I figured out how to plug it in just right and turn it On, but they kept turning it Off every day; even though, they knew we were coming back... ugh. Our room was in the basement, and one of the elevators never worked either. Also, the elevator that did work to get down to our room was so small that two people could barely fit in it without luggage... dumbfounding. A few pluses: Room size was big by European standards. Breakfast was good, but the serving area was cramped. Hotel was close to Queensway Station.

A fine and affordable hotel

Posted Jun 16, 2014
Cons: Internet is far too expensive, for a budget hotel it should be free. Breakfast could do with some condiments which seems strangely absent.
Stayed just a single night, booked the morning of and got it for about 60 quid. The hotel is located right near the Bayswater tube station (5 min walk), breakfast is included though nothing to write home about, the internet was £1/hour, £5/3 hours, £10/24 hours. The room was good, though the hallways getting there are a bit questionable. In the room, at least the one I had, was a queen sized bed, a bathroom and it was all quite clean and tidy. Cannot ask for much more for from a hotel for the price.

Cons: The price. This would be about a $30 hotel U.S. standards, but I had to pay $150.
There was no AC, so everyone had their windows as open as possible. That made the place very noisy and chaotic feeling. The WiFi was broken, and the carpeting and fixtures are old.
