Layover from Holland, back to USA.

Posted Sep 14, 2014
Pros: I guess the location is good. But there is nothing near the hotel, no shopping, no restaurants, nothing.
Location: good for the airport.
Not too impressed. Very basic airport hotel. Everything was just adequate, nothing special. The staff tried to be helpful and that made it a little more hospitable.

Preparing for the trip across the pond

Posted Sep 12, 2014
Pros: The interior was elegant, the staff were attentive, the proximity to the airport and the meal were excellent.
Cons: A transport to the airport would have been the finishing touch, although they did offer a discounted price for the National Express shuttle.
Location: This is a airport destination hotel serving conferences and overnight travelers.
A great way to end a European vacation is to have a great last night. The Radisson Blu provided exactly what we needed; a comfortable, clean room with no hassle amenities, 4 great restaurants to choose from and a staff that was there for our every need. The hotel is a 5 minute ride from Heathrow but we never heard a plane and slept wonderfully. The premium rate was worth every penny.

Stayed overnight as catching early flight next morning. Convenient; McDonalds next door so you don't have to feel you have to eat in London proper prior to arrival--this is what we did as we weren't sure about dining possibilities. Shuttle bus from hotel to airport costs 7 quid/person but taxi worked out to be cheaper/more convenient for us.

Good access to LHR

Posted Sep 10, 2014
Pros: Locality
Cons: Carpet needs fixing as it is now wrinkled in places
Location: I didn't find much except for the airport
Arrived very early, so paid for upgrade to Belgravia Suite which was available. Room was quiet, but now showing some signs of wear

Great airport hotel

Posted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: The staff were friendly and competent. The room had a safe and the free wifi worked well.
Location: The hotel is very close to terminal 2, we were there in less than a half hour.
We stayed one night to catch a flight the next day. We road to the hotel on the free bus but we had some heavy bags that we found hard to deal with on the bus. If you are travelling light it is OK to use the free bus. We used Hoppa Bus to go back to the airport and the driver helped us with our bags and there were racks to put them on.

Convenient to Heathrow, but quiet.

Posted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: Didn't try the restaurants, no time. Convenient and relatively new.
Cons: Nothing.
Location: Easy shuttle ride to Heathrow.
Check in was quick and efficient. Well appointed room. Great mattress, bedding, and pillows for a good night's sleep.

Nice hotel but not good with lost and found

Posted Sep 7, 2014
The hotel was nice, but I left my Apple keyboard in the room when I checked out. When I called, I was told that nothing had been reported by the cleaning staff. Just disappointing given that most hotels these days would be conscientious about returning customers' possessions.

Excellent hotel at reasonable price

I booked the Radisson Blu for just one night as catching an early flight from Heathrow. It was the perfect start to my holiday. The staff were wonderful and the dinner I had in the new Indian restaurant in the hotel was perfect. Highly recommended all round.

A hotel in need of a makeover!

Posted Sep 6, 2014
Pros: Not much. It's location.
Cons: A major makeover & modernisation.
Location: Next to heathrow airport, car rentals.
Sadly, our computerised door key malfunctioned & the door lock was damaged. The room was hot, little natural air. The decor was in tones of fading brown. We ordered a double room & ended with small twins. The location to Heathrow is it's main attraction, but in saying that the street is full of large hotels. We were told booking through Expedia gave us little choice of rooms & basically got the left overs!
