Good location.Posted Dec 4, 2013
Pros: Location, with a tube station a couple of minutes walk away. Quiet, clean and comfortable stay.
Cons: Buffet breakfast free with your stay.
Location: Royal Albert Hall and Hyde Park very close by with tube stations minutes away.
Location was the reason we picked this hotel. We wanted to be close to the Royal Albert Hall as we had tickets for a night at the Bluesfest. We stayed for four nights and right from the start we were treated very well by the front staff. The lifts are a bit small and the hallways and stairs are a bit tight but of no major concern. The room we stayed in was a pleasant surprise. Very clean and comfortable. The bathroom and shower were cleaned daily. Not much of a view from the back rooms. Overall a nice stay at a very nice hotel.

The most uncomfortable bed everPosted Dec 2, 2013
Pros: The location is excellent for the V&A, royal Albert hall and the natural history museum.
Cons: The mattresses!
The check in girl was very helpful. We had a small twin room, the carpets were grubby and the soap dishes were mouldy. The bed was rock hard which made for a terrible nights sleep.

room air conditioner fan not workingPosted Nov 25, 2013
Pros: The location of the hotel was good. Its employees were okay and helpful. I did not get breakfast but i suppose it was good.
Cons: They should have checked the AC/fan before their guests has arrived. Free wireless do not work properly.
Location: It is 2 minutes walk to the Gloucester Road tube station. The hotel is in a busy area.
I've stayed two nights in Radisson Blu Edwardian Vanderbilt Hotel. The first night at my room, I turned on the fan/ AC to 25 celsius to warm the room, but it was blowing cool air that I got up and turned it off. I did not call the reception to ask for maintenance because it was a late hour and I was so tired and needed to sleep. Unfortunately, I got so cold during the night, and got sore throat in the morning. I informed the receptionist in the morning. He told me he would have it handled. Later, he told me it was fixed do to a broken(?) fan problem so that it should have been turned on to the end which was more than 30 degree/celsius, and got to be kept at that degree. My second night was even worse. The room was like a steam room so that i could hardly breath. When I woke up in the morning I could hardly swallow due to a bad sore throat. Well, all I can say is this should not have happened in a 4 star hotel. However, overall all I can say is this hotel, even being a hotel chain group, does not deserve 4 star. Well, maybe I was not treated good enough just because i booked for a discounted single room. I got sick, not because of London weather, but the broken AC/fan! This is my worst London accommodation ever. I am so disappointed!

Eccentric hotel in great neighborhoodPosted Oct 30, 2013
Pros: The interior is warm, inviting and "English," the staff friendly and efficient.
Cons: Comically small elevator: two is a crowd. Hotel breakfast on the expensive side. Lots of trouble with malfunctioning key cards.
Location: Near the intersection of Cromwell Road and Gloucester Road in Kensington, short walk to Natural History Museum and the V&A.
We chose this hotel primarily for location and amenities: neither barebones nor over-the-top deluxe. The Gloucester Road Tube stop is right around the corner, there are many good but not pricey restaurants, both English and international in the neighborhood, and it is one block from the Natural History Museum, two blocks from the V&A.
