Great location, good family room

Posted Dec 18, 2014
Pros: location, family room
Cons: service was helpful but not exceptional
Location: grat for musuems and hyde park
The location is excellent for Hyde Park and London Museums. Room very good for a family with small children, quite large given where the hotel is at a reasonable price for London. Expected it to be noisy on the main road but it was not too bad. Would definitely recommend as a base for a weekend exporing central London, though not as a luxury or relaxing break.

Close to Royal Albert Hall but drinks too pricey.

Posted Dec 13, 2014
Pros: Location to Royal Albert Hall
Cons: Breakfast staff taking more time to explain what was on offer. Rooms ready on time.
Booked this hotel as I was taking my mother to Royal Albert Hall and had booked 2 single rooms and assumed they would be together, mistake, I should have asked them together I was told. Arrived after 3 to be told only 1 room was available but was offered complimentary drink in bar, I declined but in hindsight should have accepted. Eventually got a room on the 1st floor and 1 on the 3rd floor. My 80 year old mother's room on 1st floor, had no bathroom door and no chair to sit on, there wasn't room!! My mother is quite short and had trouble getting up onto the bed. My room did have a chair but given it's location, wedged between the end of the bed and the wall defeats the object of sitting on. Breakfast was 17.50 per person which I hadn't thought was included and therefore it was a pleasant surprise to discover it was included. Excellent. Went down at 9am on Sunday for breakfast and was shown to a table by a busy waitress, table was not set but that was soon remedied. Had to chase waitress to order Tea and also point out there were no cups or milk or butter on the table. Waitress had indicated continental breakfast over there and hot breakfast over there and then whirled off. Having travelled extensively in Europe I was very disappointed with the continental breakfast selection on offer and had the hot breakfast instead, which was excellent. I then read the breakast menu to discover I could have had kippers, would have been nice to have this mentioned as we sat down

Raddison in South Kensington

Small rooms, but that's about the only drawback. Good location near restaurants and markets.

ottimo albergo, raffinato, personale cordialissimo

Posted Nov 30, 2014

Very small room, even for London.

Posted Nov 26, 2014
Convenient location, but we had to wait for several hours before the room was ready. We've stayed here several times over the years, but this room was the smallest ever. Barely room for two people and bags. The bathroom was also small. My wife and I have stayed at many Raddison Blu hotels around the world and they are typically very nice, but this one is not their best effort.

Convenient

Great location - perfect for London and it's centre sights; great staff - friendly helpful and welcoming, but an average room - you wouldn't want to stay in it for too long!
