My favorite Hotel in London

Posted Jul 23, 2015
Pros: The outstanding staff and the location
Cons: Bathroom fixtures are a bit old and unreliable.
Location: Near the British Museum of Natural History and the Victoria and Albert Museum.
The Radisson Blu Edwardian Vanderbilt Hotel is not the most luxurious hotel in London. But, it is certainly comfortable and well located. But what sets it above other hotels is its outstanding staff. The concierge Bimal consistently goes out of his way to make sure the hotel guests are enjoying their stay. This trip he even volunteered to take my grandson on a train when he was done with work to see a hobby shop that he wanted to see which was closed earlier when we tried to go there earlier. Bimal is always on hand to recommend restaurants, give directions, get cabs and help out in whatever way he can. This will keep us coming back to the Vanderbilt every time we come to London.

Great location, clean large rooms

Posted Jul 23, 2015
Fabulous hotel for the price. Expected tiny london hotel rooms and that was not the case. Shared a king room with my 2 teenage boys, had a pullout chair bed. Very comfortable and we enjoyed relaxing in the room. Breakfast buffet was amazingly diverse and staff very attentive. Very close to Gloucester road station. Would stay again!

Nice hotel close to everything

Posted Jul 13, 2015
Pros: Great location and staff.
I stayed for a number of nights while attending a conference. The room is typical of a London hotel, small but adequate. Great staff and location. The tube is very close and lots of shops close by. I would stay again.

Nice comfy king size bed for our room. Nice staff. Convenient location from the Tube, 20 minutes from airport, and 2 minutes walk to the hotel. Carpet is not clean due to many stain. Linen are super clean. Hotel breakfast was excellent. It came with the room rate for free if you choose such an option.

Beautiful Hotel

Posted Jul 1, 2015
Cons: Staff could be friendlier. There were a few of the staff that were very nice & helpful. I enjoyed our stay due to them
Location: Close to underground so it was very easy to get around to everything we wanted to see
This is a beautiful hotel & nicely decorated. Restaurant is nice & serves breakfast, lunch & dinner. The only thing is that rooms although very nice, are a little crowded with 3 or more people in them. Other than this rooms are very comfortable

We have stayed in this hotel while in London twice. Our experience both times has been the same, excellent. The "full English" breakfast is amazing and it is in close proximity to most of what tourist want to see. Highly recommend.

A good London hotel

Posted Jun 29, 2015
Pros: Breakfast, concierge
Cons: A bartender made me wait at the counter, spilled Coke, and did not help me with my drinks (coffee, soft drinks) to the table.
Location: Kensington. Many restaurants and underground lines
Nice interiors, good food and service in general. The description is valid.
