“Good rooms, location; a few nuisances”
First, the bad: The hotel's public spaces are heavily perfumed. When you walk in from the street, it smacks you upside the head. It might be pleasant to some, but not to me, and it's overwhelming. I waited at check in for a solid 15 minutes before being attended. There were four employees present - 2 helping the guest in front of me (one appeared to be a trainee), and 2 others just doing other stuff. At checkout, they had on my account that 2 waters were taken from the mini-fridge in my room. I hadn't even touched the mini-fridge, let alone taken anything out of it. They took it off the bill, but it just didn't sit with me right. The good: The hotel is in a great location sitting between Covent Garden, the theater district, and museums. It's a short walk to a few tube stops. I've stayed here 3 times, and the above negative experiences are the only ones I've had. I truly wish they'd get rid of the perfume throughout the public spaces. Fortunately, it's not in the rooms, or I wouldn't be returning. Double-bed rooms are comfortably sized with a nice-sized bathroom. I love the showers here with the rainfall overhead and handheld wand option. It's great to hop in there and relax after a long flight over from the states.
“can't wait to go back”
Great location for theatres and British Museum...as well as Trafalgar Square and surrounding area. Staff was very attentive and helpful. Rooms were beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Restaurant ...food was delicious, service excellent until it got a little busy and then I had to wait for my bill. Overall, an excellent place to stay and I would go back again.
“Lovely hotel....horrible smells”
Great location, reasonably priced for central London, very clean and modern, but the smells were a bit much. It seemed that every room, hallway, stairwell, etc in the hotel had its own unique smell. I had to air out the room for an entire day. Would not recommend to friends/family.
“nice hotel, rooms a bit small”
Great service! Chic interior, compact rooms
“Great location, great service”
Great location, near multiple tube stops. Great staff, wonderful concierge (Gary) who was very helpful in making arrangements for our anniversary. We've traveled extensively in the US/Canada - found this hotel equal to any 4 star we've stayed at before.
“Trip”
Great Area, More can be done to noise level control among hotel staff on the floors
“Enjoyable Stay.”
The Radisson Bloomsbury is a nice hotel in a great location. The Tottenham Road tube station is conveniently located around the corner. The West End, Soho/Chinatown, Covent Gardens areas are an easy walk. Within the hotel itself, we really liked the centrally located ice dispensers (with cups). This hotel tends to "tuck away" items like the coffee maker and hair dryer, so check all drawers and closets for these things. Our room was a little dark, several fixtures needed new light bulbs. When we called maintenance, they arrived right away.
“Good location, could use a few improvements”
Hotel location is great for seeing the sights with two tube stations within walking distance. Hotel amenities are high quality, but could use a few improvements. Room did not have any coat hooks which is problematic in damper weather leaving you no place to hang coat. Closet space was a bit limited with some space taken up by the pants press but fine for a short trip. Rooms have LCD TV's but do not actually get HD content I assume due to limitations for the Radisson in room system. Rooms are reasonably spacious. Breakfast included with my room fee was good quality and a fine way to start the day.
“Keep out if you can”
The receptionist was very arrogant. I got there at 2 PM. She said I needed to wait until 3 PM in order to check in, that rooms were not ready yet. Meanwhile another receptionist was negotiating with another client on the extra he needed to pay for extending his check-out time!!! Rooms are small and uncomfortable. You do not need arrogant people to boss you around.
“one of the choice of hotel to recommend to friends for london hotel”
I was staying there during the peak as it was a time of the one of the highlighted UK Travel Exhibition , therefore most of the hotels are fulled especially decend one. Radisson has keep up in the first line for service , the most impression for me was staff in the brakefast room , they are so cheerful and very attentive which could make your day start well once you got a nice mood from brakefast room. I got upgrade as same as the other hotel I was staying as I stay for almost a week with almost rack rates. The room was nice big space but still couldn't compare to the hotels in Asia. Keep up a good shape, I probably going to be regular guests there. :)
