“Brilliant”
This was a very upscale property with a wonderful location for those wanting to be near the Theatre district and west end shopping. It is situated on the Dial Monument circle which is a distinct neighborhood in Covent Garden, The staff was a wonderful group and gave excellent service. The condition of the hotel was excellent having been recently restored. The rooms were well appointed. The 42"LCD TV Apple programed system was simply state of the art and the programming was exceptional. Free internet topped off the stay. Quiet too.
“Nice hotel in Covent Garden”
Grey walls with white-n-black photos do not make a great impression at first glance, but open the curtains and you'll see how they blend with the London sky. This hotel allows you not only to be in London but to feel London. Located in Covent Garden, it is in the middle of both busy and side streets, with lots of pubs and shops nearby. Theatre-goers will love the location. Easy walk to The British Museum, to The National Gallery on Trafalgar Square, and even to Parliament is also appealing. A good size room with new furniture, modern appliances, well-maintained quiet environment, delicious breakfast (pricey but worth it) - everything met our expectations on a wedding anniversary trip. The service is good but not the best - they forgot to make a call which we requested. And a surprise was that there was no coffee in the room, just tea. Yes, it is London - but isn't it the 21st century?
“love covent garden”
We have stayed at this hotel several times. This is the first visit since the renovation. All is beautiful except the really tacky pinky/purple and lime green velvet throws on the beds. The staff is great and the dining room great. We had breakfast every morning and dinner one night.
“Perfect for central London”
The hotel design is beautiful:)
“Good Hotel”
Great location, nice room
“great 7 dials hotel - posh and cozy”
loved this quiet, newly renovated radisson in covent garden - great room with excellent bath - staff was welcoming and helpful - location couldnt be better
“Okay....but hard to find”
Hotel and staff were great. Very hard to find as the hotel has no sign with the exception of Mercer Street Hotel. Nothing with Radisson Mercer Hotel or nothing. We drove around for an additional 20 minutes because of the signage issue. This was also the same issue when we were picked up at the hotel. Restaurant that is attached to the hotel is horrible. Do NOT eat there. Go to a local pub, just down the street.
“Wonderful location, perfect romantic getaway”
We were delighted with this hotel. The room wasn't huge but it was more than enough for the two of us and it was very, very comfortable - everything we needed and more. Comfy robes, a well-appointed bathroom with many toiletries that aren't common in hotel rooms and very nice, dimmer lights in the various areas of the room were all special touches. The location was absolutely perfect. We'll definitely go back the next time we're in London.
“Decent hotel”
We chose to stay at the Radisson Edwardian Mercer Street Hotel in the Covent Garden area of London because of the location and price. With regards to location, if you are coming in from Heathrow Airport, you just get on the Piccadilly Line (Underground) and take it straight to Covent Garden, and you're 2 blocks away. The neighborhood is super cute with lots of shops, small little streets that make for great walking, and you're surrounded by theatre/shows and great restaurants (as an aside, if you like Indian, definitely check out Dishoom 2 blocks down the street and if you like cupcakes, check out Candy Cakes a few doors away). Note, If you don't know where you're going exactly, it might be tough to locate because there is no "Radisson" sign outside. With regards to the hotel itself, it was nice. Since it was recently renovated, all of the rooms looked brand new. It was extremely clean. The TV was flat screen. Bathrooms were clean and brand new. We stayed in a Double room which is the smallest room you can have - and it WAS super small. However, if you are only in the hotel room to sleep, it's not worth it to upgrade to a bigger room. There was some construction going on at the street below us, but it didn't start until like 9 AM everyday - and you're in London, so get out and enjoy instead of sleeping! The neighborhood can get VERY busy, crowded, and loud, but it's safe for the most part. Recommend requesting a room high up to avoid street noise at night.
