“Very nice hotel”

I needed a hotel near Clapham and Wandsworth. The tripadvisor reviews for this hotel were good. I am glad we stayed there. The owner was there and he was always concerned that we were happy with our accommodations and was there anything we needed. I would stay there again.

“Awful location - Great hotel”

The Rafayel Hotel is a really new, contemporary hotel - - but it is very inconvenient for most London tourists. The closest tube stop isn't really walkable, and taxi's are very expensive. The hotel is in the middle of a neighborhood, and the heart of the city. Nothing to do near the hotel. You're basically on an island, and you need a taxi to get anywhere. We originally booked the Expedia entry level room, which was tiny and had a view of the valet parking lot (not a river view). They showed us two more rooms at that rate, which all looked at the parking lot. Not good. We upgraded to a suite, which was a GREAT room - huge bathroom with shower/tub, dining table, big flat screen TV/seating area, and a great view of the Thames. Still would never stay here again. Too far from the action.
