Not whats advertised!Posted Sep 1, 2014
Cons: standard & staff
Location: Location was perfect even if the hotel was not!
This was not what I expected. I paid £120. for an Executive Quadruple Room, Ensuite, for 1 night for a family of 4. The staff were unfriendly upon arrival then gave us wrong information when asking advise on how to travel around. Our room was certainly not superior. The ensuite could only just fit 1 person in with a toilet behind a door that had a seat that was not fastened on ( i did complain - nothing was done), so you dare not sit down! the smallest sink ever was blocked but worst of all the smell of urine was overpowering. The traditional breakfast is Egg & Bacon swimming in fat, served by a waitress who literally does not speak. She approached our table to take our order (it is not a buffet style breakfast) and just stood without speaking or smiling! Finally i was promised we could leave our car the following day, as we were going into london, after phoning prior our stay and speaking to a man . Upon checking out I was told (by a different person) we could not leave our car. We then spent a fortune on parking!!

Good location and initial good impression...Posted Aug 28, 2014
Pros: Friendly receptionist
Cons: Provide breakfast as agreed, keep off customers property
Location: A branch of Londons best ice cream parlour 'Gelato Mio' - their Watermelon Sorbet is a dream!!!
The first impression was not to last: the female receptionist was very friendly and could direct me to a nearby ice cream parlour I was looking for. But that's the good bit. Coming back in the evening the wi-fi did not work and I had to go to reception to ask for a reboot. That worked alright then... In the morning there was breakfast supposed to be from 8am to 9.30am. I arrived downstairs at 9.20. The clock on the walll was advanced displaying 9.25 and the chap doing the breakfast told me that I was too late. Pointing out that not even according to the clock in the room it was 9.30 yet and that I only needed 5 min for breakfast he simply replied that he'd need 5 minutes to prepare it and that therefore I was not gonna have it. I preferred not to argue as I can actually afford to buy my own breakfast. An hour later I went to pick up my motorbike in their carpark which had been forcibly moved to another location not a smart thing when there's a d-lock through the spokes of the wheel... A good price, a good location but no respect for the customer.

Very convenient locationPosted Jul 26, 2014
Pros: Very convenient location
Cons: New beds, and a shower that works
Location: Close to the tube, plenty of shopping and nice cafés
The hotel was very outdated and needs lots of work. But you get what you pay for!

according to expectations cause the low pricePosted Jun 19, 2014 on Hotels.com
It was a cheap hotel and the city center was easy to find, but the room was old and should really be renovated! You shouldn`t expect too much!

Great location.Posted Jun 8, 2014
Pros: Location, breakfast, comfy bed
We picked a basic double room and it was basic. Bed was comfy but room was really small. great location near a Tube station and easy walking to many areas. Breakfast was great. Great value for money but would request a better room next time.

Holland park hotel only!Posted May 28, 2014
I've selected this hotel in the sake of one night work to do in the Holland park area. I couldn't find another hotel in the area. I was in the upper floor, the internet signal can't reach that floor and the left is so primitive and slow.

Ideal cheap hotel with nice breakfast. Great valuePosted Mar 30, 2014 on Hotels.com
Hotel is in a lovely location and close to the emabassies where we needed to go. Nice (expensive) restaurant over the road and shops etc. Hotel is close to the Holland Park and Notting Gate tube stations (5mins walk). Hotel is a beautiful 4 storey house with high ceilings and friendly staff. There is a bar and superleague pool table and large restaurant area for breakfast in the basement. Rooms need a bit of updating and beds are soft but bedding was immaculate & pillows like new. Enough space & sink was ideal. We slept perfectly & there was hardly any road noise as it's set back about 15 metres from road.No issues with the shared bathroom but ancient toilet needs replacing. Breakfast was tasty - just needed sausages/tomatoes to complete it. I would recommend it.

Horrible experience, like staying at the MunstersPosted Feb 2, 2014
Cons: It needs to be cleaner, have private bathrooms , elevators to get into the building, wifi that works ( it only worked in the main lobby )
Location: Holland Park is an excellent location close to the Holland Park Tube and has a good bar resto across the street, called The Mitre ....
Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing experience for me. The place was not super clean, it had no place for the taxi to drop me off, with my 2 huge bags and computer case. I also had to lug my cases up the stairs, as there is no help, no elevator, no sloped walkway to roll my cases up. This hotel did NOT have a private bathroom... I had no idea it was shared bathroom place. The lady who greeted me at the locked door was cranky and dishevelled and unfriendly. The wifi & breakfast was included which was surprisingly edible, however the cutlery was somewhat suspect as they did not look clean. I felt like it was not a B& B but it was a rooming house. I cannot recommend it and equate my stay there as close to staying at the Munsters. The shower stall floor was linoleum tiles that were stained and lifting and leaky looking... quite disgusting.

Affordable place to stay in good part of LondonPosted Jan 31, 2014
Pros: self-accommodation almost, not reliant on staff being around
Cons: Not for the price I paid!
Good for the bare essentials
