Cons: The premises should be renewed. Lamps and taps should work. Indirect light sources would improve the ambience. Remote controls for TV!

The hotel from HELL!!Posted Oct 6, 2013
Pros: Leaving it
Cons: Knocking down the building and starting again.
Location: It was close to The Notting Hill Carnival procession which was the sole reason we booked a room.
I have never been so disgusted in my life! When we arrived at the `hotel` we were suddenly struck by an extremely offensive smell of sewage surrounding the building. Rubbish was in front of the building with a full skip and masses of rubbish littered the front garden. The building looked dark and dirty but I prayed that inside would be better, because the advert on the internet claimed recent renovations. To our horror, the inside of the hotel smelled damp and looked filthy. I was thoroughly appalled at the prospect of having to sleep there, but even more so at the thought of having to share a bathroom with the whole of the first floor! The room we reserved apparently was not the room we got. I slept on my coat for fear of catching something from the bedsheets. The bathroom was nasty with lots of mould and the toilet looked like a scene from a horror movie! In the morning, I could not bring myself to eat from these people and the food hall smelled of burnt food and disease. I toyed with the idea of calling the Environmental Health Department because I truly do not know how this hotel is still providing rooms to humans. It is utterly the worst experience I have ever had the misfortune to endure in a hotel and I would NEVER go there again. I will definitely be telling people to avoid that place like the plague because it truly looks like a plague has befallen and ravaged the Ravna Gora with rot and germs. GET THAT PLACE SHUT DOWN. DO NOT ENTER!

Week end stay for conferencePosted Sep 30, 2013
Awful facilities, no tea and coffee in room, room very small and noisy as walls thin. Room cold at night and bed uncomfortable as mattress extremely soft and bowed. Shared toilet and shower - not the cleanest. Place needs demolished and rebuilt. No fire advice posters- not very safe in this regard.

It is great for discounted rooms: low price.Posted Sep 16, 2013
near to the subway. and the room is small however enough for sleeping. It is quiet, most of London's hotels are quiet. A discounted is very nice for limited budget.

Location: Ideal location
When we arrived the place looked lovely when approaching it. We were met by a friendly lady who greeted us. When we looked at the room it was ok but rather small but adequate for one night. The toilet was across the landing shared by several other rooms which we could have accepted but it was in a disgraceful condition as was the shower room next door. We went to the toilet on the floor below to compare and that was exactly the same! Breakfast in the morning was served by a very grumpy lady who obviously did not enjoy her job! Wasn't as though she had had a busy morning as we were only about the sixth person she had served. No one available to hand the keys to when we left so we went looking for someone...not happy that we invaded their personal space at the back of the hotel...perhaps a post box would be helpful?!? Stayed in places as cheap but much better (and we are easy to please!)

Room had issuesPosted Jul 28, 2013 on Hotels.com
The quad room we were assigned smelled terrible and had a very wet (carpeted) floor, and no hot water in the shower. When we described these problems to the staff and asked for a different room we were told that there had been a recent plumbing issue with the room, but that the plumber had been in and fixed it. Also, that the hotel was fully booked and no other room was available. We did receive a small fan upon request to try to speed the drying of the floor, but we had a terrible stay, piling our luggage on the few dry spots of floor, keeping our shoes on, enduring the stink, and the cold showers. We had a TERRIBLE stay.

Two roomsPosted Jul 2, 2013 on Hotels.com
We stayed in a shared bathroom room that was a typical low maintained room. The second night we stayed in the private rooms and it was like a five star hotel. It's says full English breakfast, thoughts its not but it was good

Don't stay herePosted Jul 2, 2013
Cons: The lift
Location: Close to shops and rail, bus - bus stop outside hotel
Old building - needs a lot of work. Booked a twin room, but this is not available at all but we were not informed about this. Had to drag our cases up 12 steps to get to front door - no help on arrival or departure. No concierge as listed. Not much hanging space, door to room patched up with paper to keep it shut. The lift was a very small glass lift which was very slow and you had to hold the floor number button in all the time. Shower did not work properly, toilet seat broken - reported both, repairman came but did not fix either problem. You could hardly turn round in the bathroom area. Only one glass for drinking, no tea/coffee facilities. We were there for 5 nights (2 of us) and we only had the initial supply of 1 small shampoo and conditioner supplied. Breakfast was OK, but staff unfriendly. After we checked out and we waiting outside fort our taxi, the taxi company apparently called them to pass on a message that they would be 5 minutes late, but they would not go outside to deliver message Good area and close to shops and bus routes.
