Nice location for the park but uncomfortable rooms

I spent five nights in this hotel Good: - decent staff - lovely gym and swimming pool facility - good car park Bad - room is small - floorboards creaky - floor in room is not level so can't sleep level, very uncomfortable - cheeky to charge for parking, almost the same price as the NCP! The hotel is fine, but room comfort means I can't recommend it

Disappointing Second Stay

Waited ages to check-in as the one receptionist was in the back office on a call, then advised no hot water ... I questioned didn't they have emergency contracts with plumbers, electricians, etc ... apparently public holidays no!! Refurbishing taking place which meant lifts close to my room out of order so had to drag suitcase up and down stairs half way around the hotel to get to my room. Walls so thin I heard whoever was in the room next door to me snore through the night ... at 06:20 a note under my door ... assumed it was a note to say water was now all ok ... it was a copy of my bill, in full, despite shocking lack of facilities and still no hot water ... I had a freezing cold shower - not good start to a business day ... the only apology I received was on check out when I refused to pay full amount for the room. Stayed here June last year as well and again the service was poor. Will not stay again.

I eventually enjoyed my stay thanks to a very nice duty manager. I doubt i will book with Hotels.com again as they failed to notify me of any the building work/refurbishment taking place which ruined my first nights stay. My room view overlooked lots of scaffolding and the noisy building work. I would not have booked this hotel for a quiet break had i been made aware!!!!

A tiny room, just barely big enough for a 5'7" person. A desk but no desk lamp, a desk chair that was too short. I walked in to the room after the most circuitous route (one lift was out of action and there are stairs EVERYWHERE. Impossible to get from and in fact to reception if you are a wheelchair user. Or in the door to reception The room reeked of cheap perfume and was not aired. The housekeeping staff hovered, loudly outside my door EVERY DAY and on the last last day knocked on it asking if I needed housekeeping when all I wanted was peace and a lie-in. Just once. The use of strong cleaning agents was rife and was horrible to walk through and flooded the corridor and under the door. Running and dragging of the vacuum was commonplace and noisy.

Lovely Hotel, beautiful location

We stayed at The Richmond Hill Hotel on the weekend of the England V Scotland rugby match and found it added to greatly to our complete Twickenham experience. The hotel itself has lovely views to the river and on a clear day you can very easily see Twickenham Stadium. The few days we were in Richmond were spent with friends and both sets of rooms were clean spacious with good shower facilities. The staff were very courteous and helpful and were a credit to the hotel. My only suggestion would be that the hotel found a more reliable taxi firm for their clients use as when we required a taxi to the station we were told we would have to wait at least 20 minutes in which time we could have walked. Not really acceptable if people have time tables to keep to. All in all a very good experience and would definitely use the hotel again.

Stayed here as was attending a wedding in the area. Room was available early so we could get ready in comfort. Upgraded to a suite. Nothing to complain about

Old and charming..

The hotel is old and charming. The comfort in the room is nice, except from that there is a lot of noise from the corridor, and the bathroom is very cold. Bring your slippers if you are getting up at night.
