Disappointing Second StayPosted May 6, 2015
Waited ages to check-in as the one receptionist was in the back office on a call, then advised no hot water ... I questioned didn't they have emergency contracts with plumbers, electricians, etc ... apparently public holidays no!! Refurbishing taking place which meant lifts close to my room out of order so had to drag suitcase up and down stairs half way around the hotel to get to my room. Walls so thin I heard whoever was in the room next door to me snore through the night ... at 06:20 a note under my door ... assumed it was a note to say water was now all ok ... it was a copy of my bill, in full, despite shocking lack of facilities and still no hot water ... I had a freezing cold shower - not good start to a business day ... the only apology I received was on check out when I refused to pay full amount for the room. Stayed here June last year as well and again the service was poor. Will not stay again.

Lovely Hotel, beautiful locationPosted Mar 17, 2015
We stayed at The Richmond Hill Hotel on the weekend of the England V Scotland rugby match and found it added to greatly to our complete Twickenham experience. The hotel itself has lovely views to the river and on a clear day you can very easily see Twickenham Stadium. The few days we were in Richmond were spent with friends and both sets of rooms were clean spacious with good shower facilities. The staff were very courteous and helpful and were a credit to the hotel. My only suggestion would be that the hotel found a more reliable taxi firm for their clients use as when we required a taxi to the station we were told we would have to wait at least 20 minutes in which time we could have walked. Not really acceptable if people have time tables to keep to. All in all a very good experience and would definitely use the hotel again.

Good hotel with everything you needPosted Mar 15, 2015
Stayed here as was attending a wedding in the area. Room was available early so we could get ready in comfort. Upgraded to a suite. Nothing to complain about

Old and charming..Posted Feb 9, 2015 on Hotels.com
The hotel is old and charming. The comfort in the room is nice, except from that there is a lot of noise from the corridor, and the bathroom is very cold. Bring your slippers if you are getting up at night.

The Richmond Hill Hotel has a lovely location, being within an easy walk of Richmond Park.It is ideal for a relaxed luxurious break, particularly for Londoners who do not wish to travel far from home.

Just one quibblePosted Jan 7, 2015 on Hotels.com
Ideal for visiting family in the area over Christmas (whose flat is far too small to fit us all in). Only quibble is the advertised "complimentary wi-fi", which is in fact restricted to one use per day, and apparently with a restricted bandwidth. I didn't investigate the cost of "full" wi-fi access, since it wasn't sufficiently important to me at this time of year, but the claim IS misleading, since this is now provided as standard in most hotels of this overall quality (and indeed some way down market).

Nice stayPosted Jan 3, 2015 on Hotels.com
Lovely stay, although the room felt quite small for a superior double and could probably do with a bit of modernisation.

Twickenham rugby stsyPosted Dec 30, 2014 on Hotels.com
Last minute stay to watch the rugby at Twickenham. Arrived late due to traffic but reception were fantastic. Booked us a taxi which was there within minutes. Lovely comfortable room. If there is one thing to pick at it was that there was no heating in the bathroom and on a chilly evening and icy morning, it would've been a bonus to have a heated towel rail if nothing else. But on the whole, a great place to stay. Thankyou all!

Expensive, but convenient.Posted Dec 16, 2014 on Hotels.com
Stayed here for two nights while meeting my daughter (a Richmond University student) to begin our Christmas holiday. We treated ourselves to afternoon tea and had breakfast from room service on the day of our departure, but otherwise dined elsewhere. The hotel is very convenient to the university, as well as to bus lines downtown, and the staff is very helpful and friendly. It's quite expensive for the size of its rooms and available free amenities, but I tend to chalk that up to London's extravagant prices.

Great location, breakfast was ok, clean and overall it's a hotel that was what I expected.
