Overpriced

Posted Jul 19, 2014
Small rooms, small, bathrooms, lukewarm staff. Rescued only by the fact that it is in Richmond and has a reasonale health club.

Great location ideal for the city

Posted Jul 4, 2014
Pros: Location and facilities.
Cons: Nothing.
Location: Close to Richmond Park and a short stroll into Richmond centre with good shops and restaurants.
We wanted somewhere that was accessible to Wimbledon for the tennis but also in a good area and this proved ideal without paying the high prices charged by hotels in and around Wimbeldon. Richmond is a great place with plenty to do and some good restaurants. Although we didn't have time to go into central London it is also ideally placed to do so.

Good 4* hotel

Posted Jun 16, 2014
Pros: Location to Richmond and the riverside
Cons: Prices for food and drink are alittle steep especially with 12.5% service charge
Location: Good location although the hill down to Richmond or the riverside may not suit everyone
Arrived late at night but recieved a warm welcome and a speedy check in. Didn't eat in the hotel but found the bar area to be friendly if a bit pricey. Room was small but spotlessly clean and well appointed.

Friday break in Richmond

Posted Jun 6, 2014
Pros: A great location on top of Richmond Hill with good parking
Cons: The room was a bit small and we could not get the complimentary internet access(because we were on the fourth floor?).But we could get it at reception
Location: Richmond shops and park.East Sheen and Mortlake also near. The Hotel shares a gym/pool with hotel next door and worth a visit.
Stayed in Richmond on Friday and walked through Richmond Park to East Sheen and Mortlake next day. Also went running in the park.

Lovely location

We had a great stay. We have not been back to the hotel for forty years so it was a very memorable visit and it did not disappoint. Staff on reception were particularly friendly.

Better than imagined, comfortable and great value

Posted May 30, 2014
Pros: Comfy bed, good sized and well equipped room
Cons: No
Location: Richmond is lovely. Great shops/restaurants, Richmond Park, Petersham meadow and Petersham nurseries cafe, Ham House, wonderful river views/walks.
We stayed here for 3 nights - we were having a civil partnership ceremony locally. We asked for a nice room with a view if possible , and that is what we got ( room 268) . Hotels in and around London are expensive, however our early booking via Expedia, gave us great value for money, and a comfortable and well equipped room.

Nice local hotel

Posted May 29, 2014
Decent rooms although very small. Great breakfast. Decent bar but local pubs way better ( try The Roebuck) Staff at front desk could use more customer service training. Restaurant staff also. Don't let the hotel call the taxi for you. It will be about five pounds more. Call green cars in twickenham bother are very good.

Disappointing stay

Posted May 28, 2014
Pros: Location and breakfast
Cons: The upkeep of the rooms and especially the bathrooms
We stayed here as it is close to where our friend was getting married. The location is good and close to Richmond Town centre. The reception area was nicely decorated and the staff friendly. Breakfast was very nice although not included in the rate and was still £12.00 with a voucher (remember to get this from reception otherwise they will try to charge you £16.95!!) The toilet seat on the toilet was loose and then it fell off!! The shower just trickled out and had hardly any power to it and the bathroom was not very clean. I did mention this to reception on checking out
