Not up to expectationPosted Nov 26, 2014
Came to Richmond as it was somewhere different and we had tickets for rugby at Twickenham for a 21st birthday present. Room 166 was tiny, could barely get around the bed. Window view looked into the hotel kitchen, and through into the gym at the spa. Did not see any view of Richmond park as described on website. Hotel was booked for birthday present and for the price, the hotel was not up to standard expected. The room we stayed in in particular needs a total refurbishment and a good rethink about how much to charge for such a tiny room. On arrival we were not given any details about the hotel and what time breakfast would be or the price of breakfast if we wanted to book in. We were even unsure as to where the restaurant was and were not told about the complimentary access we had to the hotel spa as was specified on our booking. We were asked to open a tab on arrival with a credit of £50, however a couple later were only asked for £20. We were obviously refunded on check out, however it was a large sum to suggest if this is not a standard fee. Overall the stay was acceptable and service was of standard other than check in, however it was not what was expected and we will not stay again.

Rugby weekend stayPosted Nov 8, 2014
Within walking distance of Twickenham stadium and very close to Richmond Park. Hotel nice and clean. Only issue really with Expedia as requested pull out bed for my teenage son and hotel was not aware. Had to upgrade to king size room but did not get the best night's sleep.

Good location near Richmond ParkPosted Nov 5, 2014
Lovely old building. Corridors are a bit of a "rabbit warren" but that is to be expected for this type of building - is does however require some use of stairs to take bags to a room. Timber floors are a bit squeaky and uneven. Excellent breakfast buffet.

Good quality hotel near Richmond centre.Posted Nov 1, 2014
Pros: The convenient location and the car parking. The room and staff were fine.
Cons: Remove the surcharge for a twin room. That's a bit like Ryanair!
Location: The town, riverside walks, the best views in London over the river. Fabulous shopping. Historical buildings, the Green, Richmond Park, Kew Gardens
Stayed 2 nights. Comfortable and quiet. Room rate was very low as we had booked 8 months in advance. However did not appreciate the £20 per night additional charge for having a twin room. Also the car park charge of £5 per night. However as there is virtually no on street parking anywhere in Richmond due to the roads all being full with parked cars this is a bonus feature and the main reason why we stayed there. We were here for a reunion and stayed with several friends and relatives as we had recommended it to them. We had stayed here before and found it good quality and in a convenient location. All in all I would recommend it and will be returning next year.

Schöne Lage, gutes Schwimmbad!Posted Oct 31, 2014 on Hotels.com

Did a jobPosted Oct 30, 2014
Pros: Staff and food was ok
Cons: Another bar. We were looking forward to a nightcap but the bar was totally crammed with wedding party at midnight
Location: At the top of a hill so you need to be fit if walking into richmond. Parking in town is scarce and expensive
Staff were cheerful and obliging. room was cramped the iron was chained to the board presumably to stop it getting nicked so very difficult to use

Lille velhaverby med engelsk charme - wonderful !!Posted Oct 23, 2014 on Hotels.com

Nice and quietPosted Oct 6, 2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel was as I expected, fits nicely with the surrounding area, it was clean, quiet and good value. Good breakfast buffet. It is a bit of a walk from train/tube station (but you can take a bus from Richmond station).
