"Great Location"Posted Sep 2, 2008 on Hotels.com
Location, Location. Beautiful hotel located next to the River Thames. We had a wonderful experience at this hotel. It is so easy to get to the tube from the hotel. The embankment station is just 1 block away. The footbridge across the river is 1 block away. For us it was so easy to get to everything. The hotel was beautiful and the staff was extremely helpful. We were confused about where our theatre was but they got out a map and helped us locate it and what tube station to use to get there. Our breakfast was included and the breakfast was good. Excellent service in the restaurant. Great place to stay.

Great experiencePosted Sep 1, 2008
The hotel is in walking distance of a great number of attractions and is virtually next door to an underground station. It is on the Thames and a "spit and a throw" from Trafalga Square , Big Ben and Westminster Abbey, a great place to stay.

Great hotelPosted Aug 27, 2008
We stayed here on a family vacation with three kids. The hotel was wonderful in providing an extra rollaway bed at no cost for the kid room. Beautiful hotel, friendly and helpful staff and FABULOUS location. Our window looked out on Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, the London Eye and the Thames River. Will come here again.

DecentPosted Aug 25, 2008
This place is ok. The hotel was staffed with friendly, helpful staff. The room was tiny, but clean. We were in an old room which had a very must smell. Construction is ongoing, although they do not start until 9 AM (and woke me up, but not my girlfriend). Scaffolding covered half of the building while i was there. The location was perfect for us. Right off Whitehall on a quiet street about one block away from a station and a foot bridge. Didn't eat at the restaurant, although our waitress was nice enough to let us order our dessert from the restaurant menu while we sat in the lounge - the desserts where great, but no overly impressive. At the time, this was the best hotel i could find for the money. I would say it was worth it - but i wouldnt call it a steal.

Good, but not 4 starPosted Aug 22, 2008
I have been now to the Royal Horseguards twice in the past 6 months. It is a well located, clean and quiet hotel. The staff is helpful and freindly but they are not trained to the same extent as you might expect from a 4 star hotel. Be warned....the breakfast is very mediocre and the tea/coffee must be the same brand that discount airlines buy since it is awful. Room was fine...clean...very quiet. For the right price it is a good choice.

Excellent choicePosted Aug 18, 2008
The hotel was beyond expectations. We were delayed being checked in, which didn't matter to us. However, the hotel served complementary coffee in the lobby and upgraded us to a newly renovated room. The room was fantastic. It was on the first floor and a direct view of the Thames and the London Eye. The room ameneties were first class. There was a flat screen TV and also one in the bathroom. There was an Ipod connection and connections for the computer. The furnishings were neutral colours and calming. The bathroom had a seperate shower and the bath was great after a hectic day sightseeing. Breakfast was included and included all that you would want to start your day. This is out third say in 2 years at this hotel and the service and friendliness of the staff only get better. High Recommended.

Good for the moneyPosted Aug 6, 2008
We stayed at this hotel before and after a cruise, and I would have to say I was impressed by the breakfast included with the room in addition to the down to earth staff.

Oslagbart lägePosted Aug 5, 2008 on Hotels.com
