“Better than a Hostel”
The room was fine, a little small for 2 twin beds. Two people are constantly tripping over each other or stubbing their toes. It is tough to move around in such close quarters. They have a luggage closet (secure) because the rooms are not big enought for people and luggage. The room did not have a phone as stated on the web page and it did not have an alarm clock. If you need they will give a wake up call by banging on your door. If you are an ealier riser, before 8am, you can have hot water. After 9am you are out of luck. The room was clean and the cafe area was nice. It is more like a dorm room than a hotel. A dorm room is larger. The common areas, like the hallways need to be updated. I could hear some of my more loud / inconsiderate neighbors but it wasn't as bad as some of the other reviews stated. I slept fine. I stay somewhere different every time I visit London. This wasn't as nice as some of the better hotels but for the price it wasn't bad. If your on a budget, there are a lot of worst places. I wouldn't recommend it for families.
“I would never ever come back”
We stayed there for 3 nights the past month and it was really a nightmare. The 3 receptionists(there´s no concierge) that I spoke with during my stay were rude and unhelpful. When we entered in our room, the first thing we saw, was a cockroach!!!! so we went immediatly to the reception and we told the receptionist who made a face (a bad one, like if we did something wrong), didn´t apollogize and just gave us another key for another room. The only reason that we didn´t leave, was because we were already charged with the 3 nights, so we wouldn´t get our money back and it was 11 pm and we´re very tired so we looked in every corner of our new room to make sure that there were no more disgusting things. We had to leave the third day at 4 am because our flight was at 6 am and when we went to the reception to make the check out, there was nobody!!!! and the reception room was closed, so we had to write a note and left the key there, in the floor. I would never ever recommend this crapy hotel!!
“not bad”
The hotel was in a great location, easy access to two tube stations, shopping, parks, etc... The room itself was tiny! I was sharing the room with my boyfriend and we both couldn't be up at the same time (that's how small it was), other than the size of the room and the loud street below us...it was a decent and clean place to rest for a few days. (Although the receptionists weren't too helpful)
