Uncomfortable experiencePosted Nov 12, 2013 on Hotels.com
Very uncomfortable experience. Plumbers were working there during our stay so we had no hot water and no heating for most of the time despite reassurances to the contrary. Room was freezing. Breakfast very poor (do-it-yourself cereal and toast). Hotel in dire need of refurb. Only there for two nights so put up with it but would not stay there again.

Conveniently place for my purposesPosted Nov 8, 2013
Location: I wasn't there to do things of a tourist nature
There was no hot water in the evening when I went to bed, despite being assured ithere would be by 21.00 hrs The breakfast was a poor apology for a continental breakfast.

Good centrally located hotelPosted Nov 6, 2013 on Hotels.com
This may not be the nicest of hotels, but it was perfectly adequate for an overnight stay right in the centre on London. It was clean and comfortable and although the room was a little small, I can't complain about the hotel in general, especially for the price.

OK Hotel - Good locationPosted Oct 14, 2013
Pros: The location was good!
Cons: Upgrade the rooms - provide electric outlets in the bathroom, plugs for the tub and sink, a larger mirror in the bathroom.
Location: Tussauds is close - too expensive! The Gourmet Burger Kitchen around the corner on Baker St. was great, also Alsop Arms pub across the corner.
The location was good, central and close to Tube so was easy to get to attractions. Coffee shops, pubs and food stores very handy. Hotel facilities are clean but rooms are small and run down. Our room was on the 4th floor and there is no elevator. This makes it a challenge if you are not used to stairs and also when toting luggage up and down. Say only one staff member in the whole week - who was very nice but there just wasn't anyone around to assist if you needed anything.

Summerset hotelPosted Oct 2, 2013 on Hotels.com
This truley had to be the worst experience my wife and I have ever had, the hotel was filthy, mouldy shower curtain, dirty toilet, there wasn't even a bath panel fitted to the bath, the carpets were threadbare, the guy behind reception looked like a homeless person, I could go on. It was that bad we couldn't even stay there, we got a cab and booked into the travelodge at Covent garden. A total rip off, I can't believe the owners arnt embarrassed cos I wouldn't even let my dog stay there!!!

Basic but okPosted Sep 27, 2013 on Hotels.com
Very basic room that while it has been refurbished is not to amazing standards. Fine for a night but don't think I'd stay for longer
