Conveniently place for my purposesPosted Nov 8, 2013
Location: I wasn't there to do things of a tourist nature
There was no hot water in the evening when I went to bed, despite being assured ithere would be by 21.00 hrs The breakfast was a poor apology for a continental breakfast.

OK Hotel - Good locationPosted Oct 14, 2013
Pros: The location was good!
Cons: Upgrade the rooms - provide electric outlets in the bathroom, plugs for the tub and sink, a larger mirror in the bathroom.
Location: Tussauds is close - too expensive! The Gourmet Burger Kitchen around the corner on Baker St. was great, also Alsop Arms pub across the corner.
The location was good, central and close to Tube so was easy to get to attractions. Coffee shops, pubs and food stores very handy. Hotel facilities are clean but rooms are small and run down. Our room was on the 4th floor and there is no elevator. This makes it a challenge if you are not used to stairs and also when toting luggage up and down. Say only one staff member in the whole week - who was very nice but there just wasn't anyone around to assist if you needed anything.

DilapidatedPosted Sep 5, 2013 on Hotels.com
Unfortunately this is the worst hotel in which I have stayed in London. Although the location was fabulous, and the staff were very nice, the overall impression is of dilapidation. Had I shared my room with four other people maybe it would have been good value but £84 was a lot considering there was an (old) blood smear on my sheets, the carpet was coming away from the walls with crumbling underlay, the ensuite smelled of urine although visibly clean and the walls had black mould. The bath did not have a front panel so you could see the underside of the bath. There were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. Overall, I am so sorry, I have never given such a negative review before. The reason I did not make a fuss at the time was because I had an exam the next day so didn't want to get out of my frame of mind.

Avoid if you have a familyPosted Aug 21, 2013
Cons: The smell in the room!
Location: To be fair, not easy to find at first but very central
This hotel was extremely disappointing, issues range from major things such as wet carpet smelling of what seemed to be vomit, to a damp bed and damp/fusty smelling pillows. There was no bath panel (wood and nails protruding). A phone socket pulled from the wall with the case open and wires visible. There was no hot water at 7am in the morning, no hair dryers in the room and the chairs were stained. There were also holes in the ceiling stuffed with paper to block them. Breakfast was a disappointing affair of three options on 'Asda value' cereal or toast, and a large bowl of yogurt and tea and coffee or juice. There were no tea/coffee facilities in the room. All in all a very unhappy experience and we left as soon as we could feeling like we needed a good shower.

Convenient locationPosted Aug 11, 2013
Pros: Location. The staff were nice and helpful though not always present.
The hotel was adequate, except that it was very hot and there was no air conditioning, nor were there any fans. The lobby was shabby, the front stairs dirty.
