Excelent location

The room was extreemly hot , no Aircon , it waz like an oven the beding was Amazinly good room was clean & basic , the net curtin was old dusty n riped from top to bottom .the bathroom tiolet tiolet was loose so when flushing it i felt it was goin to fall over .

The room was very disappointing. Top floor, but no lift. Steep stairs. Noisy, inside and out. Poor ventilation through dilapidated window. No tea/coffee facilities in room - expected to travel four flights of stairs to machine in basement. Not even a glass in the room. No table, no chair. Breakfast, described as Full by Expedia, was anything but - do it yourself white toast, limited cereals - with no staff on hand. Overall an unattractive and unwelcoming lodging house, not really worthy of the name Hotel.

Good location, terrible hotel

The carpets look very old and dirty. Bed linens and bathroom were clean. The hotel does not look like the photos on expedia. Very ran down. Very noisy due to incredible loud slamming doors.

Pros: Close to tube station.
Cons: There should someone manning the reception area.
Location: very good location . near to tube stations
There is no coffee or tea making facilities in the room. Bathroom too small and congested . No lift facilities . Have to stay at 3rd floor. There is no staff at the reception. Have to ring the bell and wait for someone to come.

Pros: Location
Cons: Major refurbishment and they would deserve the deserve the prices that they charge
The rooms are dark and dreary. No smoke detector in my room...reason "smoke was setting it off" carpets are threadbare and I just think that the place is a dangerous place if there was a fire. breakfast was cheap and poor quality.

We were there while renovations (new carpeting, toilets downstairs) were being done, which took away from our experience. I expect it will be nicer and cleaner when work is finished. Staff was helpful. I would consider trying a room on the back because traffic noise was quite loud, but it is London after all.

Lovely clean hotel, ideal for just crashing whilst attending any events in central london. Polite friendly staff, nice simple breakfast and well organised rooms. Only issue was hot water took a while to kick but thats hardly a downer! Will definitely be staying there again!

Lovely place, very basic, which suited us as we had a lot to do while in the city. It was sort of like a luxury hostel. Great location, I couldn't find anything with a lower price in that part of the city. Rooms were clean, and the staff were very friendly.

For me, the location was ideal however.........The hotel is in dire need of renovation, threadbare carpets, windows with wooden panes (to replace broken panes), bathrooms with mastic to hide ill fitting shower heads, broken room fittings, broken bins in the room, ill-fitting doors to the room that provide a cover from the hall way but do not provide any form of noise reduction from the hall way. The room was clean although the afore mentioned comments made it look extremely tired. The staff (when you could find them) were friendly. The self-service cereal and toast breakfast was disappointing. For the "discounted" price that I paid I was extremely disappointed and in hindsight should have foregone the location and spent an additional £30 to stay in an alternative hotel.

The room was clean and certainly spacious, but it was very basic. The carpets were worn and the floor in the stairwell was damaged, and it seemed it had been that way for some time as the carpet was wearing down around the damage. There were also tears in the wallpaper. There was a flat screen TV in the room, but it was far too small for the size of the room. The beds were clean but the matresses were lumpy and uncomfortable. We had to ask for toilet tissue (there was none in the bathroom when we first arrived) and we had to ask for a couple of drink glasses as there were none in the room. We chose the hotel for its proximity to a major Underground station and that it offered breakfast included in the price. However, the breakfast was very limited (make your own tea or instant coffee, white bread only for toast with margarine, and a choice of cereal). The management were certainly polite and friendly and provided us with what we asked for, we just felt that it was not worth what we had paid. We probably will not stay here again, regardless of its convenient location.
