Nice hotel, ideal location in central London

Posted Apr 19, 2014
Pros: Location, ambience
Cons: Nothing
Location: Ideally located a few minutes walk from the main sites in Westminster and a few minutes walk from St James Park tube. Victoria and Westminster nearby.
I've stayed in this hotel more than half a dozen times over the last few years. The staff are friendly, the rooms immaculate, and the service exemplary. The ambience of the Hotel has been nicely maintained.

Great location, beautiful hotel!

Besides being an absolutely beautiful hotel in a great location, the entire staff was super friendly and helpful. We had a room with 2 dbl beds, and yes, while a little small for myself, my husband & 2 kids, it was very comfortable and clean. And the best part was, being an Expedia VIP, they gave us free breakfast and high speed internet. We would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful hotel...

Posted Apr 16, 2014
Pros: We liked everything..location, staff, facilities!
Cons: The one thing that could use improvement was the WiFi...slow or sometimes could not connect.
Location: The location was great. The hotel was within walking distance to Westminster Abbey, Big Zben, Parliament Square and The London Eye.
Great location, helpful staff went out of their way to help us with an Underground stop we were looking for and they suggested we take the bus instead!

Central hotel in a quiet location.

Posted Apr 16, 2014
Pros: Room cleanliness, friendly staff, location.
Location: Westminster one direction, Buckingham Palace the other with shops, pubs and restaurants all walkable.
We took the Central and District tube to St. James Park and wandered the 200 yards round the corner to the courtyard bordered with gardens towards the hotel and into the reception that resembles icing on a cake. We checked in and headed to the room, I had booked a family room only for me, my partner and her two girls (18 & 15) handy with two bathrooms, it was a large room with two Queen sized beds, a sofa and a view to the courtyard, unfortunately one of the bathrooms was out of order, problem? not at all, immediately the hotel offered an apology and different rooms. We took the option of the girls staying in the family room while we took residence in another room on the same floor, I was impressed with the way they handled a difficult situation. The hotel is between Westminster and Victoria with transport, sightseeing, shops, bars and restaurants all nearby, all walkable. I found it extremely clean, the staff are extremely friendly, the food is fantastic and we all felt very safe there. They have better facilities than some 5 star hotels Ive stayed in and I couldn't fault St. Ermins even if I really tried. We had 5 days in a first class hotel and we will return, this is how all hotels should be.

Close to Buckingham Palace and very quiet

Posted Apr 15, 2014
Pros: The staff was excellent especially a particular doorman which his name escapes me. LOVELY hotel, fireplace, small restaurant, 24 hour room service.
Cons: the menu after 10pm for room service, PIZZA IS PRETTY MUCH ALL YOU CAN GET.
Location: Buckingham Palace, Coluseum Italian restaurant and a few good pubs
We enjoyed our checking, our stay, our doorman, our bed, THE QUIET, even though you are so close to Buckingham Palace. Walking distance to the Palace, 2 nice pubs, an Italian restaurant...only dodgy area was right across street, the little tiny park, don't walk thru at night to go to Italian Coloseum restaurant, there are homeless and shady area there. We loved London (although there isn't a straight road to be driven on so if you get car sick, walk a lot)...used the under and overground safely with no worries....can't wait to go back in August

My wife's birthday

Posted Apr 10, 2014
We had a brilliant weekend in London for my wife's birthday, and St Ermin's was a great choice of hotel. The atmosphere is really friendly, and the rooms and public areas are excellent. We will definitely stay there again!

Elegant hotel, great room

Posted Apr 8, 2014
I stayed in a three-bed two-bath family room. I was pleasantly surprised to find that, despite being right in the middle of London, a short walk away from Westminster Abbey, the room had enough space to move around in. Even the third bed could sleep an adult, though anyone over 6' would have had some difficulty. The mattresses were comfortable, all the beds had great duvets, the room had lots of light and windows that opened onto the courtyard below. The lobby is gorgeous and elegant, the room I stayed in was spotlessly clean and renovated no more than a few years ago, the hotel was quiet, the staff were friendly and helpful. Despite my expectations and what the listing said at the time, free wireless is in fact available.

A quick trip to downtown London!

Posted Apr 7, 2014
Cons: Well, I wasn't in an executive suite, but the room was fantastic. The bed wasn't the bed, but was still very comfortable.
A coworker and I decided after work to head to London for the weekend to find some new restaurants to satisfy our palates. We happened upon St. Ermins Hotel for two reasons, the location and comfort. This hotel was close enough to enjoy many of the sites and festivities of downtown London. I would recommend to any of my friends or family.

Beautiful hotel nestled in central London

Posted Apr 7, 2014
Pros: Friendly staff, comfortable rooms, great location, beautiful decor
Cons: none
Location: 2 min walk to St. James's Park tube stop - short walk to major tourist spots such as Buckingham Palace, Westminster, Victoria Station
Just returned from a fantastic stay at St. Ermins over spring break! We had a "family room" with plenty space for our family of four overlooking the center hotel entrance. The staff was very helpful, welcoming, and professional - very family friendly, yet I would definitely recommend this hotel for couples or business travellers as well. Free wifi access in the rooms was a nice service when returning in the evenings. Would recommend this hotel to anyone - truly a lovely hotel.

Wonderful Hotel!

From the time we arrived until the moment we left the entire staff made of visit something special. They were friendly and helpful. The hotel was very well maintained. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed. I liked that it was equipped with US outlets. We could not have asked for a better experience and look forward to returning! Thank you!!!!!!!
