Conveniently located small hotelPosted Mar 12, 2015
Pros: We liked the small size and well-trained staff.
Cons: The in-room details cited above should be replaced.
Location: St. James neighborhood is near Buckingham Palace, Green Park, St. James palace, as well as galleries and up-scale shops.
Our second stay. The hotel is easy to navigate. The staff is helpful and courteous. We chose a Junior suite which trades bedroom size for a small sitting room. Pluses are a very comfortable bed with a lightweight duvet, ample lighted closet and storage space, good ventilation, nice grooming supplies. Negatives of the black marble bathroom are silly designer touches - scanty space around washbowl for setting things down, fancy square faucets are set too close to backsplash wall; the ridiculous high-sided bathtub with abbreviated glass side is guaranteed to throw water on the floor, a fancy overhead shower makes it hard to wash and rinse whole body and a small spray attachment seemed inoperative.

Very nice staffPosted Feb 10, 2015
Cons: better concierge service
problems with wifi, difficult to connect. Sunday night issue of getting advice on late restaurant openings.

Excellent hotel in the heart of everythingPosted Sep 5, 2014 on Hotels.com
Very clean hotel with super-comfortable beds and great staff. There's a rear door into an alleyway that goes directly into Green Park. As our room was on this floor it felt like our own private entrance. A very nice hotel, highly recommended.

hotel carino, discreto in ottima posizionePosted Sep 2, 2014

Excellent hotelPosted Aug 23, 2014
I was impressed by all aspects of the hotel. Great location, very friendly staff. The room was very nicely decorated with a comfortable bed and sheets. Nice bathroom. Beautiful common areas and great food. I had to leave a day early and gave the hotel very shirt notice but they did not charge me.

Amazingly friendlyPosted Jul 31, 2014
This must be the friendliest hotel in the world. Makes American hotels seem positively French in comparison.

Comfortably Quiet and Perfect LocationPosted May 26, 2014 on Hotels.com
I stayed at the St. James for a couple of nights and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. My room was very quiet and comfortable, the service was impeccable. I had the best nights sleep and hard a hard time waking up. The location was central and walkable to everywhere I wanted to go. Will definitely stay here the next time I'm in London.
