Pleasant stay at The Arch, London, UKPosted Oct 9, 2014
Pros: The location, the staff, the free wifi
Cons: Change bed mattress, better checking on the room before chech in, iron and board to be icluded and cleaning the carpet.
Location: Perfect location, 5-10min walk to Oxford street, Edgware road, Marble arch, Hyde park...
We arrived to London for a short visit. We were lucky to find a room for 3 nights at the Arch. Check in took few minutes. We were given a room at the ground floor which seemed to be for limited mobility. The room was wide and so was the bathroom which had many safety bars. We just had some trouble with a plugged sink. The bed was quite uncomfortable bec of the soft uneven mattress. The decor seemed rather striking with many colours especially the wallpaper behind the bed. Iron and board were provided upon request but removed after few hrs when we were out! This was very strange bec every room should have them and if requested they are usually kept for the length of stay. Also a couple of electric bulbs needed to be changed. I think housekeeping should pay more attention to every detail before letting a new guest in. Anyway, I loved everything about the hotel especially the location and the friendly staff. I just hope they overcome these minor defects to reach perfection. I'll be back.

Upscale London boutique hotel, low key luxury, A+Posted Oct 5, 2014
Pros: Well designed, quality finishes & fabrics, user friendly, tastefully decorated, efficient & very friendly service. Great amenities. Smart & classy.
Cons: I am very particular and found little to be improved here. I would definitely stay here again, it is a great base camp while visiting London.
Location: Near the park, walking distance to Oxford St. and shopping thereabouts. Central to most anything.
Our room was small, but so very well designed for comfort and function that the size was not a negative. A functioning window was great for fresh air, and the quiet side street location kept it from being too noisy at night. Sizable bathroom w/spacious shower which had great pressure, along with amenities provided such as slippers and bathrobes - the Malin + Goetz products are a plus as well. Additional amenities included water and some beverages in the mini bar. The desk in the room was a real working desk size, great to spread out all of your electronica. Little things that added comfort were well located switches bedside to turn out room lights, a small detail that just makes life a little easier. The restaurant, which we only tried for breakfast, was great as well. Located in the Marble Arch area made walking to many locations a pleasure, with a great coffee/cafe on the corner and wine shop nearby, everything needed was at hand.

a true five-star hotelPosted May 6, 2014
Everything in this hotel was top-notch. The room, the bathroom, the mattress (Vi-Spring!) - everything. Even little things were arranged to make the stay more enjoyable, like the free Wi-Fi and a power adapter for non-British plugs. The location is very good - the neighborhood is mostly residential, so there are no noisy crowds under the windows even on weekend nights, but quite a few restaurants are a block or two away. A tube station (Marble Arch) is also very close. We did not have their breakfast, but found a very good place just two blocks away.
