“Great service, great location, Clean rooms of OK size”

This hotel is in a good location - very close to tube, nice surrounds. Service was very good - well trained staff! Room was pleasant, not very big, but fine - and was clean and tidy. Good wifi which is a must for me. Would use again!

“Charming & conveniently located”

Having stayed in numerous hotels throughout the West End, I thought I'd try this one, and am glad I did. The staff were energetic, helpful and professional. The room was spacious, well appointed and modern. The location - steps from the British Museum - is about as perfectly central as one can get in London. Walking distance to innumerable shops, restaurants, cafes, museums, tube stops, etc. Would happily stay there again!

“Excellent hotel”

My husband and I stayed at the Bloomsbury for the start of our honeymoon a few weeks ago. The bellhops were friendly and fast, the concierge went above and beyond with helping us book tickets for activities, and helped find the tours we wanted to go on. When they heard that it was our honeymoon, they sent up a complimentary bottle of champagne (not the cheap kind, either!). The hotel was fancy, but not too fancy. The bed was fluffy and comfortable. They had free WiFi which was great. The room had a huge TV and lots of channels. The bathroom was huge and had a heated floor! The whole experience was wonderful and as comfortable as was possible. The only thing I would have changed was that the bathroom could have had a bathtub. Shaving my legs was an "adventure."

Getting around
My best advice would be to book an open-top double decker bus tour. It takes you everywhere you might want to go (Buckingham Palace, Westminster, Tower of London, etc.) for one price. The busses come every 15 minutes and the tour guides were all pretty funny and knowledgable.
What to pack
Pack a mix of clothes. One day it was sunny and very hot and the next it was chilly and cold.

“Nice hotel, great location”

The staff was very helpful and attentive, the hotel clean and in a wonderful location. The shower products were wonderful. The room was stocked wiht nice teas and biscuits were left at bed turndown. I did not eat in the hotel, but did have a meeting in the lobby. Tea and coffee was a bit pricey, but not terribly surprised as I found London to be so in general. A few downsides: I was in a room that had no "real" windows (overlooked a shaft of some sort, nicely appointed, but not looking outside.) Wonder if online/discount rates get rooms Also, the safe in the room locked and would not open. I had to wait until next day to get computer out. Lastly, asked for a late check-out, usually not a problem in the States, but 10GBP per hour (with no confirmed guests after I checked out.)

Area recommendations
The area of the hotel, Soho, is highly recommended. Good shopping, lots of great food (including many, clean supermarkets) and a vibrant theater scene. Also felt very safe.
Must see
Wardour Street off of Oxford Street. Food, shopping, theater. You won't be bored.

“Nice place”

I stayed here the first night in London, and moved to the Pimlico area for the next four nights. Although this place was very nice, it was not worth what was paid. I paid quite a bit more for this place than the other, and the other was almost as nice. Unfortunately breakfast nor internet were included at the Bloomsbury. Perhaps that was how I booked it, but I was not elated like I figured I would. The staff is very good, though, and were very attentive. The bar/restaurant was very nice as well. Excellent hotel but a bit over-priced in my opinion. I would stay again but only at a lower price.

Area recommendations
London is of course easy to get around in, just use the Underground! Near this hotel be sure to go to the British Museum. The 'west end' is nearby too, on the next street. Very much like Times Square in NY, but more $$.

“Will be back when in London”

Fantastic hotel, excellent location. Steps from subway station, Oxford and Tottenham streets, many cafes, restaurants, supermarket, British Museum. The only concern is about the mattress - so soft. Complimentary daily news paper, complimentary drink at arrival, cool restaurant inside the hotel. Wi-f i was out of order in my room, but the manager provided a cable connection to help me. Large room, comfortable and elegant furniture. So quiet and silent. Nespresso machine, electric kettle, iron and iron board were very usefull. Will be back when in London

Area recommendations
Walking distance from the hotel, go to Covent Garden area or to Soho to have a meal or just to feel London's soul. Also you can go to Bond street neighborhood and its amazing shops just steps through Oxford street.

“Lovely hotel + Great Location!!!”

This is a very pretty medium-sized hotel in a fabulous location. Doors down from the British Museum, next to Oxford Street Shopping, easy walking distance to the West End and Covent Garden, 1 minute from Tube (Tottenham Court Road, Central and Northern Lines). Even though it's next to the bustle of a busy road, it's like a little oasis of calm and quiet. I highly recommend it!
