Great location, beautiful boutique hotel
Posted Jan 17, 2013
Pros: friendly staff, jewel box restaurant and bar, very quiet & comfortable room, amazing location
The Capital is a great boutique hotel in a central location in Knightsbridge. Great for shopping and sightseeing. Staff is helpful but not effusive. The restaurant and bar are sophisticated and cosy. Our room was amazingly quiet and comfortable.

Lovely, safe hotel fr people traveling alone
Posted Jan 19, 2013
Pros: Location, service
Cons: Bathrooms
Location: The best! Could not be better!
Pros: Fantastic location, nicely decorated rooms, polite staff and great service, traveling alone and felt very safe Cons: Room too small, Air/C making too much noise, small and old bathrooms, with not too much light, no space at all to put personal toiletries. There is no need fr a bath tab, a shower would suffice, hot water and cold water coming from two different and not one tap.

Old fashioned charm

Fantastic service, great location, small room, small bathroom and poor internet connection. With a few changes, could be a real gem. Very fair pricing.

Great location, excellent service

Excellent hotel. The service is superb. However, it is not a cheap place to stay. Having said that, not many places in central London are cheap and the prices at the Capital are about the norm. I would definitiely recommend it. It is a lovely place to stay if it is within your budget.

old-world comforts, old-world inconveniences
Posted Jan 1, 2013 on Hotels.com
The Capital Hotel has incredible service, the staff are friendly and knowledgeable and proactive, the concierge got us almost-impossible-to-get theater tickets on short notice. But, for a luxury hotel, the bathrooms are ridiculously old-fashioned; separate hot and cold water taps in the sink, barely-a-trickle shower head. And the bathroom stank of cigarette smoke, coming through the vent from somewhere. There is Wifi, but annoyingly you have to keep entering a new access code every 23 hours, which is good for only one device. Two computers or iPads? Too bad. The location can't be beat, quiet street but half a block from Harrods. Small cozy bar, restaurant under new owner, not as good as it was a few years ago. If you like being pampered by people and can put up with less-than-modern utilities, you can't beat The Capital.

Easy elegance in centre of London
Posted Jan 22, 2012
Pros: Attentive, professional staff.
Location: For access to South Kensington Museums and Knightsbridge - this hotel is absolutely convenient.
Very close to Harrods, Knightsbridge Underground, Q&A, Albert Hall, Hyde Park and easy walk to Piccadilly. The friendly staff advise and assist on all matters from organising cabs, recommending restaurants as alternatives to the excellent in house one, and looking after all personal needs. Quiet and understated elegance.

Quiet Corner of Knightsbridge
Posted Jan 2, 2012 on Hotels.com
The single room is very small and quite dated (flowery padded walls) and the bathroom has seen better days (worn wooden seat), but ultimately it was clean and very quiet with impeccable service. Loved the Kiehl's toiletries. A great refuge after the hustle and bustle of the city. Handy for the tube, Harrods and a few other nearby shops. Good coffee shop on the corner with reasonable (for London) prices on casual fare. Would really have liked a tea/coffee service in the room though.
