Pros: Size of rooms, staff and location to Westfields/ Kensington, etc
Room was an excellent size (chelsea Suite), with ample space if you wanted to bring a young family. It was quiet and staff were excellent as you would expect from a prestige hotel. The bar area is beautiful over looking the harbour.

Luxury location and beautiful view of the harbour

I decided to book this hotel for me and my girlfriend for Valentine's Day this year. I was expecting a lot and was not disappointed! From the concierge to the member of staff that knocked on our door asking if we wanted more ice, every second of service was top notch. Add a beautifully kept suite and a 5* view of the harbour, I couldn't have asked for a nicer location to share such a special night with my partner. Hats off.

Under New Management - not as good as previous

We also stayed here last year on New Year's Eve n the same grade of room when it was a Grand Wyndham hotel. In our room then we received a welcome fruit platter of exotic fruits & extra mineral water, which was a nice touch, but sadly not provided this year. They seem to be skimping on the niceties now. Also there was a turndown service but no chocolate as is the norm for such things, they just left some disposable slippers instead - which would usually be provided as standard anyway in a five star hotel, from experience. Also, even though there is a coffee machine they only provided 2 miniature UHT milk cartons - very stingy :( No complaints otherwise, lovely room & view, as to be expected given the price, but I think that now it is part of the Milennium & Copthorne chain they appear to be cutting back on the little additions which make it feel more special for a 5 star hotel, especially when paying such a lot of money and more so for a New Year's Eve stay! I think I will spend my money more wisely next year at an alternative venue. (I hasten to add, however, that the staff were very friendly, and efficient).
