Looks good in the photos...not great up close.

Pros: in a nice location, lovely old building. Far from the tube, but not difficult to get to at all. Good price on a last minute trip. Cons: not well maintained, cracks in flooring, staff were rude on check in, but polite on check out. Room was underground - poor lighting, and the TV had some pixel issues. Overall: not unpleasant, but needs a lick of paint before I'd go back.

Good for a weekend

The hotel is in a nice location. The standard rooms are very small, and as some are in the basement. It's ok if you plan to be out a lot.

Cleveland hotel

Posted Dec 28, 2014 on Hotels.com
Vi fikk et fint og stort rom, riktignok i kjelleren, men helt ok. Greit lite kjøkken i et skap. Hotellet tilbyr frokost levert til rommet, men jeg synes det er overpriset. 13 pund pr prs for noen brødskiver. Ikke langt å gå til Bayswater der det er mange kafeer å velge mellom. Beliggenheten til hotellet er helt topp. Gangavstand til det meste. To undergrunnstasjoner (Quensway og Bayswater)like ved. Anbefaler dette hotellet.

Home away from Home

Posted Dec 26, 2014
Pros: Staff friendly and welcoming. Decor a pleasing blend of modern and traditional. Good sized bathroom and shower. Coffee bar in reception-nice touch
Cons: Fold out bed uncomfortable, needs a thicker mattress. Kitchenette was a bonus however it was difficult to connect the extension lead.
Location: Hotel was situated close to shops, subway stations, and variety of restaurants/food outlets.
Stayed at hotel twice during our time in England would definitely stay there again. Felt like a home away from home.

Great location and friendly staff

Cleveland hotel was very conveniently located within walking distance from Paddington railway station. There were also other 3 tube stations near, so you have easy access to transportations, including some buses. You can even walk to Portobello road market street. Near the hotel is a lively street with restaurants and some shopes. The hotel is on a quiet street, so no traffic noice. The hotel is alittle worn out, but it was clean, so it did not bother. Our room was good size, had a little kitchenet with microwave and refridgerator. OK for making toast etc. but not really for cooking meals. Pans would have been available in reception. Free wifi worked well. There is an elevator, but you need to walk some stairs anyway. Only minus was that you can hear all noices from the neighbourg. We were unfortunate to have a really noicy Italian family in the next room, and had to ask them to keep it down. But that was not the hotels fault. If you are a light sleeper, earplugs come handy. I can recommend this hotel if you are looking for a basic hotel and well functioning place to stay. The staff was very friendly and to our pleasant surprise, we got access to our room already when we arrived in the morning. Might stay there again when travelling to London on private occation, not business.

My Stay at the Cleveland London

Posted Nov 3, 2014 on Hotels.com
Overall things were good, and I would definitely stay there again. The staff on the Reception, and the Porter were very helpful. The apartment was clean and tidy, however the duvet cover on the sofa bed did have a couple of small stains on it. The doors on to the shared balcony didn't seem too secure, which was a slight worry! We did have a little difficulty finding the hotel, we arrived during the hours of darkness and the hotel signage is very understated and as a result we walked by it a couple of times.

Needs a little TLC

Posted Oct 28, 2014 on Hotels.com
Not a bad location, but pictures must of been taken right after renos , a little worn down ,toaster did'nt work properly , carpets were filthy, really did not want to take my shoes off. Shower leaked , and there was mildew in the shower .
