“Small, but quaint”
The room was tiny, and the staircase was incredibly narrow. But, as a single person spending very little time in the room, the price was great. I had one of the rare personal bathroom rooms, so it helped in my experience. The staff was generally casual and helpful.
“Excellent Location”
The hotel was blocks from Victoria Station & major attractions. The room was small but very clean. Great value for the price.
“Not Impressed”
Small room, not that satisfied with the cleanliness of the room. However, good price in relation to the service you get. If you want to go really budget, go Grapevine.
“decent for price & location”
rooms are small and a bit old but they do a decent job of cleaning it before you get it. people working in hotel are very nice and helpful. overall a good value
“Good location”
This hotel is in a very good location if you want to travel on foot. The bathroom was ours, but it was in a separate room, and the sink leaked a little bit. But, for four girls traveling through Europe, it was a good place to stay.
“I'd Go Back”
This is an OLD hotel but the staff & service are delightful, location central & the breakfast adequate. The rooms are very small & need updating, but functional with all you need in them.
“As usual...”
This is a typical small modest english hotel in a Victorian style house. It is Ok if you are aware of it before your stay. But if you are expecting a scandinavian style 3 star hotel with a buffet breakfast, then you will be certainly disappointed. The location is very good and after all you should keep in mind that it is in central London where nothing tends to be cheap at all.
“Good hotel for a few days stay, convenient location”
I read all the reviews about this and other hotels, so I knew what I was getting into. The room was quite small (2 double beds with a closet converted into a bathroom). The hotel staff was fairly nice and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was a good free meal to start the day. Bottomline: If you don't expect much, you won't be disappointed.
“Good... according to the fare though”
If you plan to stay for a couple of days in London not spending much, The Grapevine Hotel is a good option. Even though the rooms are small and don't have cupboard, it is clean and very well located.
“Not impressed”
The best thing of the hotel is its location, near Victoria Station, Victoria UnderGround Line, and Victoria Coach Station. Easy to reach every place. But... the room was dirty, I've to struggle to get a soap, neither the TV nor the hair dryer worked during my 5-day stay. Breakfast was really basic. I definitely would try other options before getting back to this hotel.
