Great B&B in a perfect locationPosted Nov 13, 2013
Pros: Great service, food, & location -- easy to/from Heathrow on Picadilly Line; easy to get anywhere in London by walking or Tube, or Europe by train.
We found this gastropub/B&B through an online search of outstanding recommendations in the Kings Cross/St Pancras area. We couldn't have been more pleased with our choice: central location, easy access to trains and the London Underground, quick walking distance to almost everywhere a visitor would want to tour, and a charming local feel. There are only 4 rooms, so book fast if you see one is available! The breakfasts were amazing, with lots of choice and variety as well as generous servings, and we shared them with interesting guests from around Europe. The rooms are comfortable and basic; for an American used to big rooms in suburban power-center chain hotels, the bathrooms are relatively small and might take some getting used to, but they are entirely serviceable and the Neutrogena amenities are terrific. We enjoyed dinner as well -- check UrbanSpoon for the area and find it's far and away the top-rated meal. It's a genuine neighborhood pub, and (unlike a lot of American places claiming that status) quiet enough to relax and visit over your pint or meal. We will definitely stay here again when we come back.

Very handy and good value for Central London.Posted Nov 4, 2013
Great value for Central London and also good food at the pub. Breakfast was excellent and generous. It seems to be a good neighborhood pub and the staff were all very friendly.

We loved this hotel. It's small, yes, but cozy and wonderful. Such character to the whole building and the breakfast kept us going all day long. Staff was nice; location was convenient with the King's Cross tube station nearby.

Unexpected Cool PlacePosted Oct 16, 2013
Pros: We liked it all, it was kind of different and unique and all quite good!
Cons: Can't think of anything!
Location: Brunswick Plaza is within walking distance, we found an outdoor market during the day on Saturday where vendors were serving a variety of foods!
There's only 4 rooms, but quite pleasant even if they are small. The breakfast is AWESOME! The food in the pub was great, easy walk to lots of things, close to the train station. We were pleasantly surprised and sorry we didn't book our return trip there as well.

What a surprise. A real gem.Posted Sep 27, 2013
Pros: Being surprised by how much we liked it.
Cons: The room could be nicer but maybe that would ruin the whole experience.
Location: It isn't Kensington or Bloomsbury but we felt safe. There is a great pub 15 minutes away called the Harrogate Whippet. Check it out!
When we first walked up, I thought "oh no." It is an older pub with rooms two flights up. The rooms are not large, clean and very spartan - a bed, a table and a shelf. I would call them student digs and I am not one (anymore). But this place turned out to be a real gem! When we returned to the hotel the first Sunday night, there were maybe 10 musicians playing traditional music in the crowded pub. We stayed for a beer. It was quiet upstairs. The breakfast downstairs in the pub was wonderful and way too much food. The second night in London we never did find a place we wanted to eat dinner and returned to the hotel and decided to eat there. There were maybe 10 other people in the pub and we had fish and chips. Wow! It was the best meal of our trip! They call it a gastropub which, I guess, means really good, fresh food. We sampled beers and relaxed. We would absolutely stay there again.

Great Hotel Great LocationPosted Sep 23, 2013
Great hotel within 5 minutes walking distance to Kings Cross and St Pancras Stations (and underground). This is a small 4 roomed hotel above a pub in a residential area but pleased don't be put off by this. The staff, the room, the pub, the breakfast are all fantastic. We dined both nights in the lively atmosphere of the pub and had a great meal both nights. The room is clean and more like the spare bedroom in your house rather than a staid hotel room and unlike other reviews, our shower was fine. Fantastic hotel for a few nights stay and would recommend it to anyone not wanting to spend a fortune or be in a boring conventional hotel.

Nice little pub, weird locationPosted Sep 18, 2013
The hotel rooms were basic but clean. The staff were pleasant. The bar is great. The location is weird - housing blocks all around, and (as it turns out) hard to get to from Kings Cross by foot ... even though its proximity to the station is why I chose the Harrison in the first place.

Great stayPosted Sep 5, 2013 on Hotels.com
Stayed at the Harrison for one night whilst on business in London. All the staff, espescially Robin and the bar team, were very helpful and welcoming. Food was good and full English breakfast delivered to the room was a nice touch! Would definitely stay here again.

great stay, good pricePosted Aug 27, 2013 on Hotels.com
The room was spacious, clean and relatively modern. The staff were nice and helpful. The breakfast was one of the best I've had in quite a while (better than some 5* breakies). Location is good also.
