Extraordinary hotel experience, with well-appointed rooms, first-rate service (a butler, no less!)

overpricedPosted Feb 26, 2013 on Hotels.com
This is a very comfortable hotel in an excellent location for visiting central London. The decor is traditional with nice old furniture and art work. The staff are attentive. However I feel it is overpriced, especially as the rate does not include breakfast. We dined in the restaurant and were rather disappointed. The portions were very small and expensive for what we received. However they did have an unlimited supply of delicious home made bread rolls.

What an Experience!!Posted Feb 21, 2013 on Hotels.com
After arriving at the hotel, we were told that we had been upgraded to a Suite as it was my birthday and anniversary weekend. The room was not quite ready when we arrived, but we were shown into the Library Bar and treated to champagne. Our room was magnificent with our own personal butler who couldn't have helped more. In total we were looked after like royalty and enjoyed our stay. Definitely one of the best hotels in London. I have stayed at most of the 5 star hotels and I am glad to say that The Lanesborough is definitely ip there as one of the best. Well done The Lanesborough and continue doing what you do!

You get what you paid for, it was great one!Posted Jan 3, 2013
Cons: no cattle to make your own tea
Location: next to the Hyde Park Corner, great location.
It is great hotel with nice foods, location and all, personal touch as in check-in, the staff is superb respectful and highly professional, I like the way they prepared your name cards ready, so you can use for meeting business friends straight away and show driver direction, a little bit difference made a good impression, I will highly recommend to others, only one problem, this hotel is used to be a hospital, so if you are superstition, it might not your first choice.

If you get a room upgrade, then you'll be extremely happy. I orginally booked two double deluxe rooms which was 500 each. When we go to the hotel, the rooms weren't ready so they upgraded us to the Grosvenor suite, which is luxurious. Butlers are a nice touch too!

Wonderful hotel, great location.Posted Feb 29, 2012
We spent a weekend at the hotel and it was really wonderful. The staff were extremely accommodating to help us with all our needs. The recommendations of the concierge were right on. The location of the hotel is also very central. It doesn't get any better than this!
