Great hotel close to Paddington and Lancaster GatePosted Nov 18, 2013
Pros: Staff, room, breakfast - all areas.
Cons: Could do with a paint job just to tidy it up a bit, but that's just cosmetic.
Location: Central London - need I say more?
Room was great. Bed was comfortable with sheets and big pillows. Plenty of storage if you were staying for a few days with wardrobe and drawers in room. Washroom was small, but then generally there's only one person using it at a time right?! No bath - shower only - but that isn't a negative. Shower was good, powerful and hot. The street outside was quiet and we didn't hear any noise from it during the night, or from others in the hotel. Staff were helpful when we arrived early and had our room ready for us. Attentive staff at breakfast ensured the buffet was topped up when required. I'd definitely stay here again.

Run-down, clean, terrible breakfastPosted Nov 18, 2013
This is a run-down, falling-apart, cheap hotel in a good location. Don't bother going to breakfast.

Room OK, lots of stairs.Posted Oct 16, 2013
Room was generally OK, clean and comfortable. Shower was good. Main downside is the stairs so not for anyone with mobility issues, even if room is on lower floors breakfast is served in the basement down a steep and narrow staircase. Continental breakfast ok. OK for one or two nights and reasonable value for money given its location.

Fine if you don't need muchPosted Sep 13, 2013
Cons: WiFi coverage
Location: Super location, near transport, also near Hyde Park.
The Paddington hotel is conveniently located a short walk from Paddington Station - that's why I chose it, and I was happy with my choice. I found the staff very helpful and the room was fine. Of course it has a small shower, but everything worked and the bed was good, so I was happy. The only thing to note before booking here is that there is no lift, so if going up 4 stories by stairs is a problem for you, you had better talk to them about which room you might get before booking. The other issue is that WiFi access only reaches from the lobby to the first floor. Neither of these things were a problem for me, so I was happy to get a reasonably priced room at the right location. They don't do cooked breakfasts, but that is also fine for me. They had plenty more than I would normally eat at home available for me, so I was happy.

The Paddington HotelPosted Jul 29, 2013 on Hotels.com
The absolute best part about this hotel was it's location. It is very close to several restaurants and shops and a little grocery store. It was also just a short walk to a central line Underground station, and in walking distance from Hyde Park. I read in some other reviews that people had a problem with turning in their key at the front desk every day, but this didn't bother me, there was someone there every time and at all hours of the day we were coming and going. I think my least favorite thing was the fact that their was no air-conditioning. It was during a heat wave, and got pretty hot, but luckily we had a room with a terrace that we left open the entire time we were there. We would recommend this hotel, and I would stay here again.

Great LocationPosted Jul 21, 2013 on Hotels.com
Hotel in a great location close to Paddington Station and tube. Hotel could improve its presentation e.g put clean cushions in small hotel lobby. Room was just clean but the blanket on the bed was old, totally worn and had matted into balls. There was no duvet covering the blanket so first impression of the room was looking at this old blanket. The shower had mould spots over it and could have been cleaner. Breakfast needed to have fresher fruit. Overall for the price, hotel was reasonable.

Not much positive except for the location.Posted Jul 12, 2013
Pros: Location was convenient to Paddington Station. The included breakfast was decent and the staff was helpful.
Cons: Replace the windows with ones that actually lock and help to block out sound, put a towel bar in the restroom and PLEASE put a matress pad on the beds
Location: Central Lonon location. Any of the major sights can easily be accessed by getting the tube at Paddington Station.
I booked this hotel because my husband and I needed a place to stay for 1 night before our flight home. I had looked at another hotel where I have rewards points, but decided to stay here because the other hotel was over an hour ride on the tube. We were not expecting anything spectacular, just a place to sleep for the evening. When we got to our room we were very disappointed. The room looked in bad need to some TLC. Although it didn't look 'dirty', I was not convinced that it was really that clean either. There was no mattress pad on the bed, just the thin bottom sheet between us and the bare mattress that everyone else has slept on previously. The bed was also uncomfortable. When you laid down you could feel the springs through the padding. The biggest problem was the noise. Even with the window shut we could hear people taking on the street like they were standing right beside us. The window lock was also broken completely off the window so there was no was no way to lock the window. The only reason my husband or I got any sleep is because I always take earplugs when I travel. In the bathroom there were no towel bars at all, so there was no where to hang your towels. The shower floor did not look very clean and the dooor did not shut the whole way, causing the floor to get wet. I was uncomfortable enough with the rooom that I considered leaving and getting a room at the other hotel I had considered, unfortunately they were booked so we had to stay here
