Wonderful Hotel and LocationPosted Jan 14, 2015
Pros: We loved the size of the room and bathroom and the location.
Cons: We stayed in winter and the hotel was very warm. They over used the heater. However, everywhere in London and Paris did this.
We stayed here on our honeymoon. We loved it. The hotel is as pretty as the pictures online. The room was really big. The bathroom was super nice and the tub was huge! It was about a 10 minute walk to the tube. The area was beautiful and exactly what I hoped London would be. It is not a tourist area and definitely in a more upscale area.

Christmas in LondonPosted Dec 28, 2014
Cons: please keep guests up to date on what is closed in the hotel
Location: good location for the museums and shopping in South Kensington(Harrod's is a 15 minute walk)...the tube is a 7 minute walk...
this was our second stay at the Queen's Gate Hotel in the past 4 months....a couple disappointments this time around....the first was the mould around the inside of the bath tub and the second was the fitness centre was closed...this should have been mentioned upon check-in or with a note in the lobby or our room...we found this out the following morning after we arrived when we went to the desk for the key to the fitness room....they did say we could go elsewhere but we would have to pay.....you would think for the inconvenience they would cover the cost for their guests....we have plans to return in a few months but may think twice before booking here...

Great for Albert hall and Hyde parkPosted Dec 23, 2014
Pros: Near to where we were going and modern and clean
Location: Museum just round the corner, Albert hall and Hyde park walking distance
Second time we stayed here, this time took grown up kids as well as going to winter wonderland for the night, rooms are small but has everything you need and is expected in middle of london, they upgraded our room on checking in. Which was unexpected. Staff at reception quick and friendly. Didn't eat there as went to the lido cafe in Hyde park for breakfast. Used the bar at night and good service. Overall if you want to go to the Albert hall or visit natural history museum, then great place to stay

Beautiful and very well located hotelPosted Nov 20, 2014
Pros: Location, luxury and staff.
Cons: Heater / aircon in the rooms. guests should be able to adjust the room temperature to their liking
Location: Kensigton palace and gardens, Hyde Park, Music Hall, museum of natural history, Harrod's, lots and lots of shopping
located across the road from hyde park, 10 minutes walk to Kensigton palace and metro, 15 minute walk to Harrods and Knightsbridge shops. Beautiful rooms, very clean and comfortable. Only problem was the heater in the bedroom that couldn't be adjusted Overall very nice and highly recommended.

Clean and modern central London hotelPosted Nov 17, 2014
Very clean and modern Hotel. We were upgraded to a club room which was very spacious for a central London hotel, with an extremely comfortable bed. Furnishings and bedding felt clean and new. Staff were very polite to. Hotel is close to Royal Albert Hall £ Harrods.

Excellent location for mePosted Nov 14, 2014
Pros: Location, staff, ambiance.
Cons: I chose this hotel because it had a restaurant and I didn't want to go out in the evening, the menu was very limited especially for a vegetarian
Location: All the museums, Albert Hall, Knightsbridge for shopping and visiting offspring at Imperial College
I was brought up in South Kensington. Spent my holidays visiting museums and relatives, it was a perfect location to meet up with family and friends and revisit old haunts. As a smoker I appreciated covered patio area with seating, a bit chilly this time of year, a heater would have made it perfect. The staff were very helpful with directions and hailed a taxi for me on departure. My room was at the front of the hotel but it wasn't noisy, it was warm and the bed was very comfortable. As a single elderly person I didn't feel intimidated as I have at other hotels .

Hotel needs some care, the wall paper is falling down, some old dingy carpet but it is in a decent location in a lovely neighborhood

Bra läge - ok hotellPosted Oct 28, 2014 on Hotels.com

Enjoyable overnight stayPosted Oct 26, 2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel staff were helpful friendly and welcoming. The room was not very big but for an overnight stay it had everything we needed and was comfortable. The decor and facilities were modern however we found the bathroom floor and shower tray slippery when wet and the shower cubicle was very small.
