Fint hotell nært alt

Posted Apr 21, 2015

Nice hotel but a few let downs

Posted Apr 21, 2015
The hotel and most of the staff were great but unfortunately the room was way too hot in the morning and too cold at night .. I had children with me so found it a little uncomfortable , also as the hotel is in a busy area there was alot of traffic noise at night. The staff at reception were all brilliant as were all the room service staff but one particular housekeeper was absolutely awful .. Very rude and obnoxious almost ruined my whole stay. Overall I would recommend to friends and family but maybe not for kids .

South Kensington Hotel

Posted Apr 20, 2015
Pros: The staff were great. The room was nice.
Cons: Change the mattresses!!! And better quality bedding would be nice. Its okay for 1 night, but I stayed 5 and had back pain.
Location: Go to the French bakery a block away. I can't remember what it is called but they make these buns with chocolate and other flavours and they are +++
I was actually thinking the hotel would not be as nice as it was. I gave it a 4.0 mainly because the bed was not at all comfortable. But otherwise, the room size was good (I have stayed in smaller in London) and the bathroom was in good nick (but no tub). I happened to be there during a heat spell in London and of course the English do not turn on the AC until a certain date is reached in the year (even if people are stifling). But it was okay. I opened the window. Too bad the fridge is gone from the room. Would have been nice to store milk there. Anyways, if the bed was comfortable, with nicer sheets and pillows (rock hard), I would definitely stay here again because it was a good deal and great location just a short walk from the South Kensington tube and such a great area with lots of restaurants and coffee shops.

lovely hotel in nice area

Posted Apr 12, 2015
Pros: I really liked the area and it was close to two tube stations.
Cons: as I said before they need to be told scottish money is sterling and legal.
Location: the museums were very close and it is only a short tube ride to kniightsbridge and covent garden
beautiful hotel and room was very comfortable and very clean. the shower was amazing, hot and plenty room in the cubicle. the only thing I wasnt very impressed with was the way the receptionist looked at my scottish fifty pound note that I gave her for the deposit and you would think I had given her something vlle and she refused it so I had to pay by card. Someone needs to tell her it is legal tender. We asked for extra pillows and that was provided with no problem. I would certainly stay here again.

A great location with proximity to major transportation, monuments and shopping. Affluent Residential providing safety and diversity of food choices and conveniences. Petit comfortable rooms with modern conveniences and 24 hour room service. A safe choice and a good one. as an occasional guest since 1999, I recommended for families and 1st timers in in London

Good hotel in central London

Posted Apr 5, 2015
Great location in walking distance of the museums and spoilt for choice with restaurants of all tastes and food genres. Reception staff could not have been more welcoming or helpful. Upgraded to a duplex suite which was airy and well equipped. The Elysium lounge provided a really nice house white which was free with the upgrade.
