Great location but rooms AWFUL !

Posted Jul 22, 2014
Pros: Location only
Cons: Air conditioning in rooms non existent or not working. Unbearable in warmer months and they don't have fans you can request.
Rooms cramped. Bedding and sheets are more the quality of a hostel than a 4 star. Most staff are nice except for a couple at front desk. Rafik at the front desk is sort of full of himself, treats the others including guests with little to no respect. Needs some serious attitude adjusting. Only good thing is the hotels location but there are many others in the area for the same price or less.

Cons: The light coming on in the entry everytime someone got up to go to the bathroom, lighting the room.
Very beautiful accommodations, staff very helpful and professional, great breakfast.

Maybe a three star hotel

Posted Jul 17, 2014
Pros: The location
Cons: Better staff. Vast improvements in room cleanliness and housekeeping.
Location: Convenient to the transit station. Lots of good restuarants close by.
Of the three hotels I booked through Expedia for a European vacation, this was the most disappointing. The location is nice with easy access to the transit stations. The rooms are very small even by local standards. The staff seems somewhat robotic in their answers or have to ask others. The room cleanliness was most worrisome. I had two rooms booked for my family for four nights. I realized on night three that the linens had not been changed. When I brought this up to the front desk I was told they were supposed to be changed every two nights. I then asked if they had even been changed before we arrived as they looked quite worn. I was told that there was no guarantee that fresh linen had been put on the beds after the last guest had vacated. Very disturbing. They then changed the linen but this was the case for both rooms. This seems to be a very confused hotel. They seem to want to be a nice facility, but do not know how. There are much better choices in London.

Hotel is very well located, especially for museums

Posted Jul 8, 2014
Hotel staff was attentive, room was recently renovated and comfortable (a little noisy, but I guess that comes with the old building). Location is great for museums and shopping.

Loved the hotel. Super clean and quite neighborhood. Newly refurbished it seems. Feels like being home. Close to underground which can take u anywhere in London. Dozens of great resturants in nearby streets.

Good location. Nice exterior and lobby.

Posted Jun 24, 2014
Pros: Location, exterior, price.
Cons: wifi!
Hotel had trouble with wifi. Had to be reset multiple times. Sometimes three times in a day. Good price for room,$222 (without vat) , but window had view of condenser units, i.e. no view.

Nice hotel close to nice Kensington area

Posted Jun 23, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Finish the outside scaffolding and construction work ASAP
Location: It is close to the Tube station
While the hotel is being refurbished outside with scaffolds, inside it is nice with friendly staff. While the room are not very spacious, are clean and nicely furnished. We want the specially acknowledge the Concierge person named Rafiq that is very knowledgeable and was especially helpful when we needed-by providing us with a car and chauffer to drive us to Southampton port.

Really enjoyed the Regency

Great location in South Kensington. Courteous staff, very technologically advanced hotel. You expect a small hotel room in London but it wasn't too confining. Bathroom was really slick and energy efficient (strip lights, rfid-triggered and motion-triggered power sensors). Great mattress too (memory foam). For some, the small rooms, or windy hallways or who knows what may put off, but we thought it was great. Would certainly stay there again.
