Hat leider sehr nachgelassen

Posted Jul 26, 2015

Pænt hotel, Morgenmad i top. Værelse lidt lille.

Posted Jul 24, 2015

Nice hotel near tube and Victoria and Albert museu

Posted Jul 23, 2015
Pros: Location and staff
Location: Tube is about 2 blocks away, Victoria and Albert museum right across the street. The science museum was across the street also. Kensington park near
We had an adequate room - nothing fancy, but clean and comfortable. We had a duvet on the bed and it was too hot for us to sleep well. We asked the hotel for a sheet and used the blanket in the closet in stead. Our request was quickly responded to. We also asked for a feather pillow to replace the foam pillows that were too hard for our taste, again a quick response. Breakfast was nice with bacon, sausage, eggs, fruit and breads as well as cereal.

Very nice hotel in ritzy part of London

Posted Jul 17, 2015
Pros: Comfort, quiet, location.
Cons: Smoked salmon in the breakfast buffet. :)
Location: See discussion above.
We wanted a bit of comfort at the end of a long trip to the UK and chose the Rembrandt. We were glad we did. This was a very expensive hotel by our standards (though not by London standards). But we felt it was worth it. Triple room, couple plus 11-year old son. The room was large, with huge King size bed and a large pull out bed. Pull out bed was quite good. King bed was great. Two nice sitting chairs. Looked out on the courtyard, which was fine -- very quiet. Bathroom was large and perfectly modern. Great shower with jet tub and regular US-style shower curtain. Bar was nice, modern styling. Breakfast was a very extensive and well-supplied buffet. Full English plus most other things excepting fish (e.g. smoked salmon or kippers). The staff in the breakfast dining room were very fast and attentive. They had decaf coffee, which we wanted. The hotel's main advantage, besides comfort, is location. A couple of blocks from Harrod's, right across the street from the V&A, Natural History, and Science Museums. Very close to South Kensington Tube Sta. Many good pubs and restaurants in the neighborhood behind (off the high street). Our recommendations: Admiral Codrington's pub, Le Brasserie, Khan's (Indian). (The little shop in the top of S. Kens. Sta. has great Indian lamb samosas for only £1.5.)

Fijn hotel.

Posted Jul 16, 2015
Pros: De ligging.
Heb dus helaas 3 nachten slecht geslapen.

Great Location

Posted Jul 15, 2015
Pros: The hotel was quietly elegant and the rooms were well-appointed and very comfortable. My teenagers especially loved the free Wifi!
Cons: Nothing
Location: The neighborhood was very trendy and there were many upscale shops and restaurants. The Victoria and Albert Museum was free and accross the street.
The Rembrandt was a wonderful hotel, conveniently located near most museums and Harrods. It was a short walk to the South Kensington underground station and some fun shops and restaurants.

Excellent centre for visiting London

Posted Jul 13, 2015
Pros: The size of the rooms, the cleanliness in every part, the touches of comfort and care throughout.
Cons: The bed clothes could be made up so that they cover the shoulders of someone who is over 6 feet tall.
Location: Close to South Kensington Station which is a good underground hub. The bus stop opposite has buses taking you to Hyde Park Corner and Marble Arch.
During an action packed visit to London of five days, we found the Rembrandt to provide the comfort and calm we needed to wind down, not to mention the outstanding breakfasts which fueled us up for the day.
