Stuffy rich, but SUPER AWESOME!Posted Jun 29, 2014
Pros: Location was PERFECT! the feeling of ultimate wealth and luxury; the size of the room;
Cons: I didn't like feeling that I was being judged every time I walked in
Location: It's a great place to start your day in London; close to metro; far enough from noisy areas that your stay is peaceful! supermarket near by;
The hotel of course is by far and above the best hotel in London; However, there were actually a few things that would have really made any experience anywhere else terrible; First, we had asked for an earlier check-in as our plane arrived early in the day; however, our actual room was not ready; We had to wait; We did have Tea and champagne complimentary; but it should not have had to come to that; The mattress in our room was old and you could tell needed to be changed out; (there was a "body crease" like a crater on both sides); And finally, every time we came into the hotel, there were certain staff that made us feel as though we didn't belong; as if we were not good enough for the hotel; My wife and I do dress down; but I can assure you we belong; If you like this sort of experience then this hotel is for you; if not, then I would look elsewhere; Now I do have to say there were a lot of positives that would actually bring me back; the size of the room was amazing; the room itself was amazing; the complimentary rose pedals for our anniv. was amazing; the turndown service was amazing; the overall service of the staff to please was amazing; the location of the hotel was amazing; the feeling of pure luxury was worth every penny. Internet/Sat TV amazing It's a fine balance to get that rich rich feeling; but still being all inclusive; If you like stuffy rich, this hotel is for you; If you like jeans and t-shirt; it probably isn’t

Prime area in London. Mayfair. Green ParkPosted Jun 28, 2014
Pros: Old fashioned comfort. Not a boutique hotel. Classic service.
Cons: Some rooms might need to be refurbished but I kind of like the old fashioned charm.
Location: Best location. Next to green park, close to the palace. Near Hyde park. Mayfair is where we wanted to be!
Great deal from expedia. Staff were wonderful. We walked everywhere because it's so centrally located.

Beautiful hotel in Mayfair with unsurpassed servicPosted May 17, 2014
Pros: Beautiful , opulent decor, quiet, excellent service. Great location.
Cons: Can't think of anything
Location: Great location in Mayfair - shopping, Piccadilly , Covent Garden, China Town, Green and St. James Parks beautiful for walking
Our stay at the Ritz London was a wonderful experience. The staff treated us like royalty and the room was one or the most beautiful we have ever stayed in. We paid for an upgrade to a suite which was worth it. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful and luxuriousPosted Apr 29, 2014
Beautiful rooms. Not too ostentatious. Excellent customer service, without making you feel patronised. Very helpful and friendly staff. No coffee making facilities, but in a hotel of this standard this might not be expected. Great location for sightseeing and shopping.

Ritz, LondonPosted Apr 6, 2014
Pros: central location and staff attitude
Cons: timing of service and customer requests
parts of the experience were up to a very high standard, but there were a few problems with the service which was surprising for such a hotel. Complain as it keeps them on their toes.

Spoil yoursef!!Posted Mar 20, 2014
Pros: Its iconic status; its luxury; its history; its location - and the bathtowels!!!!
Cons: Bathrooms were understandably a bit small, due to the age of the hotel, and the hot water in the shower sometimes ran hot and cold.
Location: Fortnum & Mason, Green Park, Buck Palace, Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square, theatres and Oxford St all in walking distance.
Fantastic value, thanks to Expedia!! Great room (though no view), fantastic service! During our six nights we variously experienced breakfast, lunch, high tea and the Rivoli Bar. All expensive but all worth it!! Staff were great and remembered our names after the first night!! Had a 'tour' of the various function rooms, learned some of the history of the hotel, and really saw how other half live!!!
