Our new home in London.Posted Nov 3, 2014
Pros: The staff couldn't do enough for us. The surroundings were stately yet modern, clean and elegant.
Location: Right in the heart of London, everything within easy reach by tube,
I thought that we might be disappointed, as when you stay in such a well known venue it can sometimes not meet expectations. The Ritz however was all we'd hoped for and more. We just didn't stop smiling our whole stay.

Its not the Ritz for nothing.Posted Oct 8, 2014
Pros: The rooms were large and beautiful and he fact that its an icon, hugely popular and yet everyone is treated in a welcoming way - great service.
Cons: nothing really...
Location: Its Mayfair, so everything you could possibly want to see or do is walkable, but Green Park, the Palace and Bond Street are a great start...
In a word - special, its a Grand Hotel with all the flourishes and service of the grand hotels, and yet its kept pace with the world as well. Its breathtaking, a spectacle and a place you are made to feel welcome and special.

Perfect and an ideal locationPosted Sep 23, 2014
Pros: Excellent service, exquisite decor and great central location.
Cons: Nothing - the management have got it right.
Location: Really handy location. Green Park tube is just a few minutes walk away and the famous London buses stop nearby. Lots of shops within a short walk.
This was our choice as a convenient base for visiting Buckingham Paace but it offered so much more than location. All the staff made us feel very welcome and the service was discreet and polished but in no way pompous or haughty. All the staff were cheerful and helpful and we even enjoyed a bit of banter and humour. Check in and check out were both easy and pleasant and Afternoon Tea, cocktails and breakfast were all delightful experiences. The location is great for shopping , theatres and culture and Green Park is just a few steps away. I have stayed in over thirty different hotels in central London but this would now be my first choice. My only worry about staying here again would be that I might not want to leave to go to a meeting!

Wonderful restful stay . I would definitely return . The dress code was a bit much with teenagers who were touring the city . They could not wear shorts jeans , tennis or sport shoes in the restaurants , bar or even the main part of the lobby. However, the restaurant next door was excellant and most accommodating for breakfast , lunch and afternoon tea. This hotel is a bit stuffy for a family but it would be wonderful for a romantic couple retreat.

Stuffy rich, but SUPER AWESOME!Posted Jun 29, 2014
Pros: Location was PERFECT! the feeling of ultimate wealth and luxury; the size of the room;
Cons: I didn't like feeling that I was being judged every time I walked in
Location: It's a great place to start your day in London; close to metro; far enough from noisy areas that your stay is peaceful! supermarket near by;
The hotel of course is by far and above the best hotel in London; However, there were actually a few things that would have really made any experience anywhere else terrible; First, we had asked for an earlier check-in as our plane arrived early in the day; however, our actual room was not ready; We had to wait; We did have Tea and champagne complimentary; but it should not have had to come to that; The mattress in our room was old and you could tell needed to be changed out; (there was a "body crease" like a crater on both sides); And finally, every time we came into the hotel, there were certain staff that made us feel as though we didn't belong; as if we were not good enough for the hotel; My wife and I do dress down; but I can assure you we belong; If you like this sort of experience then this hotel is for you; if not, then I would look elsewhere; Now I do have to say there were a lot of positives that would actually bring me back; the size of the room was amazing; the room itself was amazing; the complimentary rose pedals for our anniv. was amazing; the turndown service was amazing; the overall service of the staff to please was amazing; the location of the hotel was amazing; the feeling of pure luxury was worth every penny. Internet/Sat TV amazing It's a fine balance to get that rich rich feeling; but still being all inclusive; If you like stuffy rich, this hotel is for you; If you like jeans and t-shirt; it probably isn’t

Prime area in London. Mayfair. Green ParkPosted Jun 28, 2014
Pros: Old fashioned comfort. Not a boutique hotel. Classic service.
Cons: Some rooms might need to be refurbished but I kind of like the old fashioned charm.
Location: Best location. Next to green park, close to the palace. Near Hyde park. Mayfair is where we wanted to be!
Great deal from expedia. Staff were wonderful. We walked everywhere because it's so centrally located.

Beautiful hotel in Mayfair with unsurpassed servicPosted May 17, 2014
Pros: Beautiful , opulent decor, quiet, excellent service. Great location.
Cons: Can't think of anything
Location: Great location in Mayfair - shopping, Piccadilly , Covent Garden, China Town, Green and St. James Parks beautiful for walking
Our stay at the Ritz London was a wonderful experience. The staff treated us like royalty and the room was one or the most beautiful we have ever stayed in. We paid for an upgrade to a suite which was worth it. Would definitely stay here again.
