Close to Paddington Station

Posted Jun 23, 2015
Pros: Location and access to Tube.
Cons: Air conditioning
Location: Less than three blocks from two different tube stations. Numerous restaurants nearby including several American chains among them.
We selected this hotel because of proximity to Paddington Station and ease of access using Heathrow Express train and because they had queen sized beds. Several restaurants are conveniently located on Praed Street and it is within walking distance of Kensington Gardens/Hyde Park, a nice area for walking or running. Fresh cookies awaited us in our room each day and weather forecast for the day was posted each morning by the elevator. Air conditioning was spotty in our room. The last few days it was much too warm. We were told on checkout that they could have done something in the office to have corrected that. Overall, we would definitely stay here again.

Everything is fine except Hotel signage

Posted Jun 9, 2015
The signage is invisible. We had spent 15 minutes to locate the hotel, walking on street and asking local resident, using Google map...even we were standing on "2 Westbourne Terrace" but hard to locate "3 Westbourne Terrace" as it is hidden by numerous white residental blocks with same outlook.

Gute Lage

Posted Jun 6, 2015
Pros: Die Lage
Cons: s.o.

Nice small boutique hotel in very good location.

Posted Jun 5, 2015
Pros: Ambiance and location.
Cons: Include breakfast in the room price. Also - you are supposed to be met with champagne but that didn't happen.
Location: Pleasant 15 minute walk to Marble Arch to get all the Hop on/ off buses, to Kensington Palace and Paddington Station for Heathrow Express.
We Booked an executive suite to get a king sized bed. Room nicely decorated but layout a little odd, probably because this is a converted townhouse. Staff VERY accommodating.

The location was fantastic. 2 - 3 city blocks to two different tube stations. Close to some great Itslian restaurants and of course English Pubs. The room was on the small size and the tub was tired. Not great amenities for older adults. Walk in showers much preferred.

Elegant, convenient property on quiet street

Posted May 29, 2015
Pros: We especially enjoyed several meals in the dining room, and found the service to be exemplary.
Cons: I would like a tea or coffee maker in the room.
Location: The hotel is located between the Hyde Park-Kensington Gardens area, which is wonderful for recreation, and the Paddington Station commercial area.
I reserved a six-night stay at The Royal Park Hotel without having been there before, and so of course I was a bit nervous about the location and quality of the property. On arrival, all my concerns disappeared, and throughout our stay I was continuously impressed by the understated elegance of our room and the common areas of the hotel. Our room was good-sized, for a European hotel, and all of the facilities worked well. Bed was comfortable, entire premises were clean. In addition, the staff was friendly, helpful, and efficient. The Royal Park Hotel is within walking distance of Paddington station, so there are numerous shops and restaurants nearby. It is also a short 2-block walk from Hyde Park, the underground and both public and sightseeing busses. Still, it is tucked into a quiet residential area that is peaceful and quiet. We will definitely consider it for future visits to London.

Convenient to Paddington Station, quiet street

Posted May 29, 2015
Pros: quiet, convenient, clean, comfortable bed and room
Cons: check in time could be earlier; lots of folks waiting in the lobby
Location: Hyde Park, Paddington Station (Heathrow Express)
Room was quiet, clean, and comfortable. Location is great for not taking a taxi - it is close enough you can roll a suitcase from Paddington Station (Heathrow Express), yet far enough from the station to be on a quiet street. It is also a block or so away from Hyde Park. Only negative was relatively late check in time (a lot of London hotels do this - keeps guests waiting in the lobby for the rooms to be ready).

Great location, but.....

Posted May 26, 2015
Pros: Comfortable room and bed. Clean and tidy.
Cons: Breakfast options and pricing. Tea/coffee making facility in the room.
Location: Hyde Park was nearby.
The room was very comfortable, however, it was the little things or touches that were missing. For example, the lack of kettle and tea/coffee making facility. As a couple who welcome a tea or coffee first thing in the morning, this was a shortfall. A pot of tea could be ordered, but at £9 per pot, it did happen frequently. The breakfast was also expensive, considering the selection on offer. We actually had a cooked breakfast around the corner for a fraction of the cost. I appreciate that hotels do charge extra for breakfast, but £20 for sausage, bacon, egg, mushrooms and toast is not what I call good value. I have stayed in other London-based hotels that offered much more selection for a similar price. We were not alone in our views on breakfast.
