Hotel near Covent Garden

Posted Jun 30, 2015
Pros: Fantastic location about 1/4 mile from Trafalgar Square and opposite Savoy hotel on the Strand.
Cons: Everything was very good reception, breakfast buffet and lobby area. Did not use bars and restaurants but facilities looked welcoming.
Location: Perfect spot to investigate many parts of West End. Covent Garden is 2 minute walk away and there are an abundance of good places to eat close by.
One of the best located hotels I have stayed in London. I was visiting to attend Hyde Park for The Who and this is a good 40 minute walk away but lots to see on the way. Going the other way the Shard and Tower of London are also easily walk-able. The river is about 200 yards away and Covent Garden literally is behind the hotel so excellent access to the theater district..The hotel amenities are very good and the breakfast buffet was acceptable.

Gammelt glanshotell.

Posted Jun 25, 2015
Pros: Plassering. Frokost. Effektivitet.
Cons: Badekar som passer til voksne folk.
Location: 5 minutter fra Covent Garden, 10 fra Shaftesbury Avenue og Oxford Street. Like ved flere teatre.
Bodde her to netter. Glimrende plassering.

Not so friendly staff

Posted Jun 24, 2015
Pros: Location was ok.
Cons: Staff's attitude, put a smile on your face.
Location: Walking distance to Piccadilly circus.
When you you fly 10 hours from California to London's airport, get a transportation to this hotel (cab, metro, bus) you are so tired, and if you don't feel welcomed by the staff at the front desk/reception you wonder why did I book this hotel? At the concierge desk, felt like I had to pay the guy to get some answers! Rude staff. This tells me the weakness on manager's part! Cheers

A marvelous Surprise

Pros: Upscale, subtle elegance. Easy walking to parks, museums, central London attractions.
Cons: I like it as is.
Location: Walk to theaters, Trafalgar Square, Covent Garden, Buckingham Palace, Apsley House, Royal Parks, Household Cavalry Museum, Guards Museum.
The Strand Palace is a lovely upscale hotel in the theatre district of London, and as such, I wouldn't normally expect to find a small, modest room for one person at a reasonably low price. I think I might have been expecting a broom closet. But this little room was tastefully appointed, efficiently arranged, neat and clean, and perfectly adequate for my needs. I never felt cramped or uncomfortable. The bed was comfortable, but not "heavenly"--it was typical of the European bed I find in most hotels, not the overly soft, luxurious kind common in USA. That's fine with me. I was always treated with respect and kindness by all the staff.

Très bien situé

Posted Jun 23, 2015
J'y retournerais.
