Nice enough place to stay for an evening or twoPosted Aug 25, 2012
Pros: The breakfast and lack of interferene from the owners
Cons: The shared bathrooms
Location: Good transport links
Did what was expected - nice enough place with minimal issues - cheap and pleasant place to stay.Awesome breakfast, free internet - nicer than many higher class hotels.

Convenient for a weekend.Posted Aug 20, 2012
Pros: Breakfast at any time.
Cons: Not being en suite for 6 nights. This would not particularly matter for a weekend stay. Not having the tea/coffee replemished every day.
Location: there is a 24 hour bus route into central London and more helpfully back out again without worrying the tube was going to close.
My room was not en suite but i never had to wait to use a toilet or shower. There was a kettle and tea and coffee in the room, however it was only replemished once during the 6 night stay. The location was ideal - above a pub, opposite a cafe where breakfast was served at any time from early til 4pm and any breakfast plate on the menu! This was brilliant as we were up late most nights so a set breakfast time would not have suited us.

Brilliant for a budgetPosted Jul 15, 2012 on Hotels.com
Stayed at the Westport for a gig in Chalk Farm, literally a 10 min walk from the accomodation. Arrived a little bit early but had a drink in the bar until check in time. The rooms are accessed via another door, which we had a key to. Very friendly manager showed us the rooms and facilities. The room was basic, but clean, large and airy. Shared bathroom, but there are 2 bathrooms and a shower room and we didn't see any other guests so this was not an issue. Perfect for what we wanted, at a budget price for so close to Camden.

Good budget accommodation right on bus routePosted Jul 13, 2012 on Hotels.com
Good value accommodation with breakfast in cafe across the road. Right on bus route 24 which we found very useful.
farther walk than expectedPosted May 23, 2012 on Hotels.com
much farther from tube station than expected and the hall smelled like stale cigarette smoke. The room was clean and bigger than expected with none of the cigarette smell of the Hall. bathrooms were clean but ran out of toilet paper often. food was across the street and was excellant and friendly. OUR host was very nice and friendly and eager to please ! A bit noisy from the traffic and the PUB downstairs but we are from the country so that probably wouldnt bother someone used to city noise.

A bit disappointed that the room had a bare board floor. We had been advised that our room had a shared bathroom but we didn't expect the two bathrooms in the hotel to be servicing all the guests. My wife felt uncomfortable about using the shower without me standing guard in the hallway. Everything worked but was very basic. The accommodation could be improved with a few basic upgrades. A coat of paint, new door handles and locks to suit the heritage of the hotel and a few hooks in the bathroom to hang clothes on would be a start.

The Westport InnPosted Mar 26, 2012
Pros: Nice room with thoughtful touches and close to Camden.
Cons: Bit of a dodgy walk at night time.
Location: Great for access to Camden. Great access to nightbus.
Hotel rooms above pub. When pub has live music, can be clearly heard in rooms, but fine if you are going out yourself as this finishes later on. The room was large, clean, pleasant and thought had been given to items available in room. Slightly eccentric layout to facilities but everything explained to us in detail on arrival. Shared bathroom but clean and functional. Fine for an occasional night out in London. Breakfast served at cafe over the road - very good English breakfast in spotless cafe. Area can be slightly dodgy - awoken by drunks having screaming row in the street, but this can happen in most parts of London to be fair. On nightbus route and only about 15 mins walk to Camden.

OK!Posted Mar 6, 2012
Pros: Very helpful staff!
Location: near a very good bus route
Whilst the stay was ok I feel the reviews from other guests were misleading. You had to walk up at least 2 flights of stairs and if you are disabled or carying an injury this can be verry difficult. Whilst the rooms were clean very basic and the lighting was not very good in the room. The bathroom did not have a big enough sink to wash in and the bath was not very clean.

Good Place for Stopover near CamdenPosted Feb 16, 2012
Pros: The good value and vicinity to Camden centre and markets.
Cons: There is road noise at the front of the premises, but it was not too bad.
Good value B&B with rooms above the pub. (The entrance to the rooms is separate.) I just needed somewhere to stay overnight as I was attending a rock gig in Camden and this was ideal. The room was clean and spacious and the beds really comfy ! The breakfast is served in the 'Times' cafe opposite and was excellent.
