Stylish alternative to the city centre mainstreamPosted Nov 17, 2014
Pros: Smart, clean, well equipped, comfortable. Modern feel with appealing and individual period charm.
Cons: Restaurant's closed on Saturday, but then again, I'm sure you'll be out on the town anyway.
Maybe not the obvious choice for a London weekend getaway as the City is pretty much closed, but then transport is so easy - if you are willing to trade a few minutes more on the tube for more style and comfort, this is for you.

Great Hotel, Great LocationPosted Nov 3, 2014
Excellent Hotel, staff are friendly, efficient and very helpful. Rooms are large, very clean with excellent amenities, especially the large bathroom with bath + separate shower. Breakfast is excellent. Great location, situated 5 minutes from Bank underground station.

Threadneedles, LondonPosted Oct 13, 2014
Pros: Proximity to tube station. Very quiet.
Stayed on a Friday night. All staff very helpful, polite and friendly. Very nice modern decoration in a historic building. Room was spotlessly clean. After an evening in the west end, we arrived back at the hotel at approx 10.35 p.m to be informed that last orders at the bar were being taken and the bar closed at 11.00 pm. Drinks were still available to guests beyond this if ordered via reception and could be served in the lounge area ( we were the only two people in the lounge) or to your room. Located a few hundred yards from Bank tube station which was very convenient as there was not a great deal to do in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. I would stay again and would recommend.

Location: East London. Near the Gherkin and walking distane to the Tower of London. Good local shopping and amazing architecture nearby.

Very nice hotelPosted Sep 27, 2014
Pros: The service, the quality, and care taken with the comfort of the bedroom
Cons: We only had one night at the hotel, so had little time to assess for improvements
Location: The hotel is in the centre of the City and all restaurants and pubs in the area are closed from Friday afternoon till Monday. Close to St Paul's.
Very nice hotel. Bedroom was extremely comfortable, with good quality bed linen. Had difficulty working the coffee maker, but this was soon sorted by the very pleasant reception staff.

Nice but expensivePosted Sep 23, 2014
Pros: Everything! No complaints except for the price.
Location: Great location in inner city London.
The Threadneedle is a great hotel. The only complaint I could make would be the price. Spend the night when you want to be pampered and don't care about how much you are spending.

A great hotel for the last 2 nights of our 2 weekPosted Sep 19, 2014
Pros: It's beautiful! We loved the room, anfd the deep bathtub.
Location: We took the tube to areas nearby for shopping and touring.
The hotel is in the financial district. It was gorgeous, the room was very comfortable and had all of the amenities we needed. THere was a semi-loud gathering of business people in the alley below our window at the close of business each night, but it was not bothersome with the windows closed, and everyone dispersed early. There was a problem with the satellite, so we were unable to watch movies on the television. When I called the desk, they gave us a complimentary breakfast the next morning. The waffles with fruit are delicious! There is a nice deep bathtub that's great for sioaking after a long day. It's a bit out of the way, but the tube is nearby, and very easy to use. I would definitely recommend this hotel. We loved it!

Check inPosted Aug 19, 2014 on Hotels.com
We arrived for a 2pm to check-in at 2.20 to be advised our room was not ready and could we return in 40 to 45 minutes. We did this to find the room allocated was not as described and I was advised the hotel was full so no other room was available. We were eventually offered another room which we took . The room was better but the king sized bed consisted of a king size base with 2 single mattresses, not expected in a supposed 5* hotel. My initial impression of this hotel was not very good. I travelled with my 13 year old daughter and got the impression that the initial service received reflected on the fact that due to our appearance we obviously do not frequent this type of hotel on a regular basis. I would certainly hope that this is not the usual level of service provided on check-in. The hotel service did improve considerably during our stay and overall we had a very pleasant stay.
