Excellent stay

Posted May 6, 2015
Pros: It's location, and facilities.
Cons: Speed of service in the lounge.
Location: In the centre of The City of London close to Spitafields Market, but easy walking to all the main sites in the City.
Bank holiday stay in central London, this hotel is ideally situated in. The city of London, we wanted to explore the city & east end so perfect for this purpose, being close to Bank station the west end was easily accessible as well. The hotel is welcoming, comfortable with all the facilities you would want, service in the lounge was on occasion a little slow, but still very attentive. Would recommend this hotel but its location in the heart of the commercial rush of the city may not make it everybody's choice.

Our daughter's wedding

Posted Apr 20, 2015
Pros: Very comfortable and the staff were extremely helpful
Cons: The air conditioning was very noisy and we couldn't switch it off
Location: Right in the centre of "The City" . We choose the hotel because it was in walking distance of the wedding reception
We had booked a room for ourselves for the night before and the night of our daughter's wedding. We'd also booked a romance suite for the happy couple on their wedding night. Both of the rooms were well laid out but a bit smaller than we'd hoped they would be. The staff were helpful and welcoming. I would definitely stay there again. The romance suite was lovely, but I did have to ask for the champagne and chocolates but this may have been because the staff set up the room really early for us. They also transferred our daughter's luggage from our room to her's which was much appreciated

A bit out of the way but worth it

Posted Mar 27, 2015
Pros: Updated, quiet. great staff.
Cons: Please give option to pay cash in restaurant, dont always want to put things on credit card
Location: Close to city tour, London Bridge and Underground Station
This boutique hotel is great and only two blocks from Bank Street station (short walk). Though a bit off the beaten path in the financial district, this was a great place to stay. It was away from noise and hectic crowding in London, but close enough and easy to get to. Yes I would stay here again.

Beautiful hotel - excellent City location

Posted Mar 23, 2015
Cons: service at breakfast
Hotel was excellent but we had issues with noise in the room. Also - service at breakfast was so poor that we went elsewhere. Otherwise staff were very helpful.

A Treasure

Posted Feb 25, 2015 on Hotels.com
Great hotel! Beautiful and tucked away in the financial district. Rooms were spacious for any major city, very clean, and well-kept. A little treasure of a place with some interesting WWII history. The only downside is that the staff are not very helpful or service-oriented for a high-end hotel. One front desk person would not book me a cab that accepts credit cards for early the next morning saying it was "unnecessary". I ended up waiting 20 minutes to get a cab in the morning. In addition, none of the staff were able to provide any ideas for restaurants, either near the hotel or elsewhere in the city. Last, it took a long time to get a waiter for breakfast and then service at the table was spotty. If you don't need a lot of front-desk service and are very familiar with London, these may not be issues for you.

Fantastic atmosphere and room

Posted Feb 16, 2015
Everything as fantastic and everyone was amazingly helpful. The room was gorgeous and so was the amazing view from the balcony. The only thing that let my stay down was the room service some of the food was colder than it should be but all tasted amazing! However mistakes happen and wouldn't fault anything but the cold food!

Lovely hotel in a great position.

Posted Feb 11, 2015 on Hotels.com
We were celebrating our wedding anniversary so we opted for the romantic package ie. champagne , petals etc. This was a lovely touch and well worth it. The hotel is gorgeous and is in a superb position for getting about the city on the tube , which is just down the road. The only slight niggle was breakfast , which seemed disorganised to say the least . I think this might have been down to the fact that Bond,s Restauarant was undergoing refurbishment . Overall we had a good stay and will be back to try out the new restaurant when it is finished .
