Friendly, comfortable, fantastic locationPosted Sep 16, 2013 on Hotels.com
Hi. Barry and Joan run a really solid B&B only minutes from the Walls of Derry and the Guildhall. Yes, the house is in a housing estate but the area is perfectly safe, lots of parking (no problems there) and the proximity to town makes it super easy to sight-see or take part in all the events Derry has to offer. Very comfortable room, great breakfast. Highly recommended.

Great location. We were able to walk to all locations we wanted to visit. The breakfast included a choice of pancakes which provided a nice alternative. Friendly hosts in a plain setting.

Reasonable price, very nice staff.Posted May 6, 2013
Pros: nice staff
Excellent location just 10 min from city centre. Standard price, although it was a festival weekend. Cosy breakfast room and very nice food. Comfortable room with clean bathroom. Very friendly staff. We messed up with payment, but Joan got is sorted promptly, without any additional hassle or fees.

Wonderful HospitalityPosted Jun 26, 2011
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Amore B&B. The owners were terrifically helpful. They gave excellent advice on what to see on our trip. We told them we were hoping to see the "Cliffs of Mohar" and Barry gave us advice on a scenic drive back to our B&B in Westport. And also told us about a higher cliff outside of Donegal "Slige Liege" (spelling?) that was far less touristed and perhaps more spectacular. Joan gave good advice on our journey as well. Their Aunt Liz made breakfast for us and was solicitous that we eat well! I had a wonderful conversation with her, as I discovered we were in a similar place in life. My only suggestion for them is a little thing; we are used to having washcloths and that was something that wasn't provided. Many thanks to them in making what is a trip of a lifetime for me most memorable.
