Bathroom was too small.

Although the place is affordable and family friendly, the bathroom is tiny, pillows are flat, and there is no tea service after breakfast. If you're a coffee lover, you're in luck,

Our home away from home.

It has become a tradition for us to spend our first night in Vermont at the Swiss Inn our our fall trip up to northern regions. And we enjoy especially the rich and deversified menu (i.e. all the delicious food). We will be back again.

Worst place ever

Posted Oct 16, 2013 on Hotels.com
We drove all the way 300 miles and reached there with the family including 2 yrs old kid,but the guy at reception misbehaved badly. Finally we had to to call hotels.com and escalated the issue. We had to find out another hotel which wasted our entire day. He spoiled our entire vacation. I will never recommend anyone to go there.

Convenient stop through the mountains

Passing through the area. The restaurant appears to be popular with locals and clearly the best part of our stay. The included breakfast was made to order and superb, the service excellent and the owners delightful. The room, however, was a different matter. Sort of caught in a time warp--old, dated and no visible intent to upgrade--perhaps forgotten? The bed was harder than I prefer--could have used some sort of pillow top or eggcrate mattress. The room was clean. Would I stay again? For the restaurant, definately. For the room, probably not--because of the comfort of the bed.

Pros: The Hosts & its location
Cons: The whole place needs Alex Politzi to do a complete renovation to bring it into a modern hotel without the loss of its theme and character.
Location: Right in the ski area, National Forest trails in the Green Mountains, Covered Bridges etc.
The Irish Owners bought this hotel from an original Swiss couple 22years ago and I don't think they have done anything to it since. The room was clean but looked very shabby and you felt it was dirty. There was no drink-making facilities in the room. The TV was old with 'Digi box' for digital channels. No Hair dryer, Bathroom was sort of pink with white toilet seat and skirting board was rotten, part of ceiling was coming away. The dining room was dark and dingy. The upside was the hosts are very good and helpful, as are the rest of the staff. The evening meal was nice but overpriced. The breakfast was reasonable, but be warned breakfast is between 7.59am and 9.01am!! If you like an old fashioned quirky time capsule this is the place.
