Basic accommodation .

Posted Jul 28, 2015
Pros: Location and pool
Cons: General improvement of rooms
Location: To be honest this really is more of a passing through place. Beautiful mountains, a few restaurants and shops. Not worth more than a one night stay in
This hotel is in a good location with a lovely pool in spectacular surroundings but the hotel is in need of a refurb . There was an influx of bugs when we were there, not the hotels fault but it certainly didn't add to the appeal as they were everywhere, in the sink and falling on the bed. A basic free breakfast is offered but we didn't bother we just wanted to move on quickly.

Good Choice After a Long Day of Hiking

Posted Jul 24, 2015
Location: Gateway to Mt Whitney, Mt Langley and other high Eastern Sierra adventures... Alabama Hills and their movie heritage.
The previous night was spent camping in the high Sierras followed by a full day of hiking around majestic escarpments and scenic lakes. After that, what is wanted is a clean room, warm shower, and comfortable bed. This motel fits those requirements well. The rooms are upgraded from the standard by-the-highway motel. The motel has wide parking places, a useful breakfast included in the price, and good views of the high country from their patio (which is where we ate breakfast.)

We enjoyed the pools (indoors and outdoors) and the gardens which have little nooks where you can sit in near privacy. Our rooms had balconies looking over greenery.

Nice hotel close to Death Valley.

Posted Jul 18, 2015
Pros: Nice pool and garden. Breakfast.
Cons: Brighter colours in the rooms.
Location: Very close to Death Valley.
We stayed at this motel during a road trip from San Francisco to Las Vegas. Lone Pine is a pleasant little town, with shops restaurants and petrol stations. The motel is located at the end of the main road through town and has a nice pool and small garden with tables and chairs. Breakfast is included in the price, which in our experience is not very common in US hotels.

When too hot, enjoy the pool

Posted Jul 18, 2015
Hotel close to death valley. We really enjoyed the clean pool, as the temperatures were well above 100 F. The rooms are clean and well equipped - the "Plus" of Best Western. We enjoyed the stay.
