American Standard

Guter Ausgangspunkt für die Death Valley Erkundung. Große Zimmer, nicht ganz neu aber sauber und ordentlich. Frühstücksbüffet mit üblichem Standard Mit nicht zu hohen Erwartungen absolut ok.

Good enough plus Mt. Whitney

Posted Mar 31, 2015
Considering how much it costs to stay IN Death Valley and how few amenities are in some nearby towns, Lone Pine is a great base for visiting not only that park and other places. The free breakfast at the Best Western was better than most and given how cool it was the fact that the swimming pool was empty doesn't matter much. Staff is great. Rooms are good enough and ours even had a jacuzzi tub! Plus you can see Mt. Whitney!

Nice motel but a little expensive

Posted Mar 29, 2015
The room was clean and comfortable. If your room is near to the road, sometimes you will be annoyed by the sound of traffic. The location is good to visit Death Valley with 30 min drive to its entrance. I met nice friendly staffs. Totally, I recommend this motel.

Recent renovation!

Posted Jan 14, 2015
Pros: The renovated rooms were terrific. They thought of everything so we didn't need a thing.
Cons: The outside of hotel rooms could be freshened up. The entire motel has a new roof and new paint, but the door area to the rooms look dated now.
Location: The Eastern Sierras are breathtaking. Manzanar (internment camp for the Japanese during World War II) is nearby and a must. Movie Museum is fun.
We have stayed at the Best Western Frontier Lone Pine for years. They have consistently been making improvements but we were surprised to find out that the motel underwent a major renovation in Oct/Nov 2014. (They shut down for a month to do all of the work). The rooms have new paint, carpet, furniture, TV, appliances ... the works! There was a desk and a chair plus a comfy chair to watch TV from. They even had a lap table for your laptop or tablet. The room looks great on the inside so now the outside needs a little updating. The front desk staff was very friendly and welcoming and greeted us with a smile each time we entered the lobby (not just at check-in). Complimentary breakfast from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m. was convenient. We will continue to stay at The Frontier.
