Beach weekend

Pros: Location was good
Cons: Coffee service, working elevators, dispensing accurate info
The hotel and beach were nice. Beach is not a private beach for the hotel, they do give you passes but try to charge you when you check out. We paid top dollar & didn't expect to be nickel & dimmed for beach passes, parking, coffee, etc. We arrived around 3pm & were told the room would be ready at 4; however, due to the number of events & guests, our room wasn't ready til 6:30pm. After making the reservation on Expedia, I called to make sure our kids room was close to ours & was assured it would be, also asked asked about room fridge and was told there's coffee/tea, continental breakfast in the lobby....turns out I was given wrong info about everything & our kids were at the opposite end. Also, one elevator was broken, so getting an elevator up & down was a pain, we were staying on the 7th floor. The hotel looked really nice, but rooms were weren't appointed very well, hotel staff was nice but not really accommodating.

Allegria facility issues

This hotel is beautiful but has many facilities issues. No A/C, no elevators, they asked us to vacate our room before checkout so they could replace A/C units. We asked for refund buy they could not give one because we paid through Expedia.

Mismanaged hotel

Our room reservation was not available & when we finally got one, the keys did not work. The bellman dumped our stuff in the hallway because he had to go to another floor while we had to wait for security to let us in. They could not reset the card keys so we were given the only real key they had - they put a $150 charge on my credit card to insure we returned their "only" key. No apologies were given, management and staff were rude and the room was not cheap. I've stayed there before and never had an issue. This place is being mismanaged and I will not stay there again. And this is only ONE issue I'm writing about. Numerous other guests had issues also.

Location: The location is fantastic, right on the beach. Long beach is clean and beautiful
The hotel is beautiful, the decor is very contemporary. Lots of problems with the AC. I was supposedly upgraded to a junior suite but the AC in the room did not work. We stayed on the 7th floor and everyone I spoke to on the 7th floor did not have AC or wifi. The hotel definitely has an issue with their AC everyone at the pool area was talking about it. A real shame, because it really is a beautiful hotel. Also they have a lot of functions so they tend to close the pool area off a lot. The two days i was there, they closed they pool in the late afternoon for parties. This is another disappointment. The hotel is very expensive so to loose all these amenities for the price. I would not recommend it.

Pros: Location and overall look/theme.
Cons: Needs a real hotel management company to run it and owners willing to invest some cash in it.
Location: Right on the beach/boardwalk, restaurants in easy walking distance. Recommend you skip the hotel restaurant.
Feels like a hotel about to go under, terrible service, skeleton crews, facilities not kept up.

Handsome room. Clean. Air conditioning issues handled smoothly. Window opens. HBO. I was not well informed of the amenities at check in. Some of the staff was dry, but others were very friendly and helpful. I would stay there again. Lovely location and style.

Nice Hotel, just watch out for the Extra Fees

The hotel staff and cleanliness were fine. The people are very nice. I was just a little put off by all the extra fees. If you want to park in their lot, it is $25 a night. There is on street parking and we were able to find a spot near the hotel each night - therefore avoiding the fee. There is also a $25 resort fee they charge when you arrive, and the beach required a "pass" to enter. I believe it is $12.50 a day. The hotel will give you 2 passes per night - however if you are traveling with kids, as we were, you need to pay extra for them. I complained the second day and I was given 4 passes. After 8 am the cafe is open and coffee is not complimentary - and neither is the wifi. The beach is beautiful - nice soft sand, but their pool is tiny. Alll in all it one of the nicest hotels on the beach.

Chic, Upscale Beach Hotel

Our suite was amazing, clean and comfortbale. The beach and boardwalk are beautiful. The food at the Atlantica (hotel restaurant) was upscale and truly fresh and delicious. The decor is really modern and funky. Loved it!!

Faulty Towers

Pros: Restaurant was good - far better than the rest of the hotel. Located right on the boardwalk.
Cons: Improve coordination between reception and housekeeping; teach the bar staff basic customer service.
Where do I start?? Recption: Our room not avialable until the night following our arrival - and still had to wait until 9pm for a temporary room (hence couldn't unpack until 2nd afternoon). Housekeeping: done by floors - no coordination with reception on which rooms have guests waiting. Bar area: service was poor to non-existent (on one occasion sat right up at the bar, handed a menu then the barmen continued their conversaion (something I noted mulptple timeswalking through that area) before we finally left wihtut ordering a drink. The hotel apepars to have a monopoly in the Long Beach area - if there was any sort of competition I expect they would go out of business very quickly.

Toilet flush did not work - took more than 1 day to repair Shower did not work properly - only very hot water Wifi did not work most of the time
