Close to the LGA

Pros: Good breakfast variety, well equipped room
Location: Not the best area, wouldn't walk alone outside after dusk. We were by car so it wasn't promblem to get there. Ca. 10 mins to LGA by car.
Hotel was OK, staff was very helpful, our room was non-smoker but smellt like was smoker before.

Location: muy pocas, hay que tomar un metro para las atracciones mas cercanas
el primer dia al hacer el check in, me hicieron un cargo a la tarjeta de credito porque al parecer en expedia no mandaron la confirmacion de que ya estaba pagado, no se si es error del hotel o de expedia, ademas de que los empleados eran muy poco amables en su trato. el hotel en general esta bien, un poco viejo pero bien

Pros: low price, clean enough, quiet enough, easy parking, shuttle to subway 30 minutes apart.
Cons: key cards. Mine failed . (The welcome gift of a bottle of water and some chips in a bag was soooo cheap it was more of an insignificant gesture)
Location: across from an expressway and a huge cemetery, one could always go out to be run over, or zapped by some ghostly vampire with a saber on a horse.
Aside from a moment when the reception clerk could not find my reservation, everything ran just fine.

Pros: the staff was very friendly,polite,and helpful.
Cons: have meat with the eggs for breakfast
Location: close to manhattan.
we had a very good time. places to eat close by. close to manhattan. miss bibi was the best.

Pros: Convenient location with parking
Cons: Nothing that I can think of. It's not a luxury hotel but I don't think it was meant to be.
Location: Good eating is nearby.
Good overall experience ... was able to occupy my room right away.

Je viens de passer une belle semaine de découverte de la ville de NY avec mes 3 grands fils, au départ de l'hôtel : 15 minutes de marche jusqu'au métro puis 10 à 15 minutes de métro jusqu'au coeur de Manhattan.Navette disponible et comprise dans prix de l'hébergement sur demande de 8 h à 22h.Petit déjeuner copieux servi entre 6h et 10h. Personnel discret mais agréable. Chambre et salle de bains propres. Vue sur une partie de la skyline de Manhattan. Quartier sûr. Sommes tous les 4 ravis.

Sketchy hotel located in industrial neighborhood

Location: The neighborhood was sketchy. There is nothing nearby to do. There are a couple of restaurants next to the hotel
We planned an overnight trip to New York City to catch a show at Carnegie Hall. The hotel was about 4 miles away from the hall. Upon arrival to the hotel, we did not like the location. There were no restaurants nearby, the subway was far, and the neighborhood was very industrial. When we walked into the hotel to check in, the lobby smelled like smoke. The lady that checked us in was not particularly pleasant, but that wasn't my biggest concern at the moment. The hotel is dated and fits right in with the sketchy neighborhood that it is located in. I was nervous. Our room wasn't ready so we decided to walk to the subway, or so we thought. The lady at the front desk said that it was a short walk. The printed directions were very unclear and we were not comfortable walking in the neighborhood. They provide a shuttle to the subway, but you can only use it once a day. When we finally got into our room 2 hours later. The elevator smelled gross. Housekeeping was still cleaning, we immediately noticed excessive water damage on the walls, peeling wallpaper, and very dated furniture. The shower was dirty. In the morning, there was a hot breakfast offered, but again the breakfast room was sketchy and I did not want to eat the food, in fear that I would get sick. We would never stay at the hotel again. We will never stay at another Best Western. We would never recommend the hotel or Best Western to anyone. We were extremely disappointed, disgusted, and disturbed with our experience.
