Ok hotel, great access to the cityPosted Aug 25, 2014
The hotel was ok. The room was clean, however there was mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. There was complimentary breakfast every morning, however some of the items I stayed away from. (Cream cheese that was not refrigerated, cold eggs and sausage). Average hotel, free parking with great access to the city. I did feel safe there with my family.

DissapointmentPosted Aug 9, 2014
Pros: It was not a far walk to ride the subway.
Cons: Breakfast times could be extended, and they could add a game room, pool, or something else for attraction. The rooms furnishings need some updating.
Location: Ride the subway. McDonald's is across the street.
The hotel did not have a pool or any other perks. Parking was aweful, and you can hear the subway go through all hours of the night. The price was expensive for a hotel that was not very clean, and the beds were not comfortable. I would not recommend this hotel to others, and I will find a different location for next year.

The staff isn't very friendly. Breakfast was terrible. Room needed a good cleaning. Bed was hard. Towels did not smell clean. Camping in a tent would've been as comfortable.

Pros: Free breakfast is not bad
Flickering bathroom light and odd noise when overhead light was turned on. You could hear the 7 train but it's not that much of a problem(I call it "character") and considering the commute to Midtown Manhattan so fast, I really didn't mind the train noises.

GOOD EXPERIENCEPosted Jul 25, 2014
Pros: Cleaning and tidy, free parking, breakfast free of charge, location close to subway.
Cons: Maps of dowtown should be available.
Location: Popular area, two blocks from subway, Mac Donalds, and some other fast food restaurants, in front there was a parking place (14 dollars a day)
As soon as we arrive, the person in charge was very friendly, small hotel in a popular área.

Close to SubwayPosted Jul 16, 2014
The hotel is right by the 7 line. Which was great to make transfers. Had parking on site which was great for us because we were traveling on a road trip. Room was clean but the ac barely worked and it averaged low 90s in July. We opened the window at night. Staff was friendly. Affordable with your own bathroom which is key in nyc. Definitely would recommend.

Good hotel with close access to subway into city.Posted Jun 11, 2014
Pros: Very comfy beds with fresh linen. Nice staff.
Cons: The house keeping was still doing rooms in the late afternoon when I came back to have a rest in my room.
Location: Lots of lovely restaurants within walking distance. Hotel is located in a nice safe neighbourhood.
This was my 4/5th stay at the LaQuinta in the last few years. I have a son who lives close by and the LaQuinta is ideally suited to see him and do all the tourist things in NewYork. A short 2 minute walk to the No 7 subway which takes you straight to 42nd street in 20 minutes. The hotel includes a breakfast of cereal, various breads, juices and donuts, it has a machine for hot drinks.

Comfortable stay and great location for the pricePosted May 27, 2014 on Hotels.com
Short walking distance to subway train #7 and short travel time to NYC; the need to transfer to other trains does not bother us. Room size is sufficient for our needs since we only need a place to sleep and shower as we spent most of our time going around NYC. Breakfast choice is limited but not an issue to us since hot coffee and light breakfast is all we need. There are a lot of food choices in NYC. We will consider to stay here again in our next visit to NYC.

Two nights in Long Island City, New YorkPosted May 23, 2014
Pros: The room, the staff, the breakfast and the location.
Cons: Hotel appears to have had recent update, however the doors and especially the security dead-bolt does not line up with the door frame.
Location: Lots of shopping available, selection of food is broad ranged and reasonable.
I had a business trip in Long Island City New York earlier this week, after spending several minutes checking out hotel options on expedia, I settled on LaQuinta Inn in Queens. The hotel is located in a bustling area of Queens Blvd. amid small shops and businesses of every description. I found the hotel to be clean, rooms adequate, staff friendly and continental breakfast plentiful and good. I will return next week and will again stay at the LaQuinta. Location is convenient for my purposes and the price is fair.
