Fantastic ViewsPosted Apr 5, 2014 on Hotels.com
The best thing about the hotel is the location next to Queensboro Bridge and the proximity to the Hipster areas of Brooklyn. The views from the balcony of the room are stunning and it's great to see the bridge and skyline all lit up at night. I could lie in bed and clearly see the Empire State Building. I would not recommend the breakfast as it was dry from where it had been left out. It's really not worth the extra money as you can walk down the road and get a really tasty breakfast roll near the subway station. You get a coffee machine in your room which is an added bonus. Internet that you pay approx $30 for 3 days which is ok if you can't switch off from work like me.

Hotel was nice and conveniently located close to the subway station. Hotel staff is very friendly and accomodating as well as informative. Beautiful view of the Manhattan skyline! Restaurant on rooftop is nice, but the food selection is very limited and pricey. Overall, had a very pleasant experience and would recommend to friends and family.

1-star hotel.Posted Apr 2, 2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel is not a 4-star hotel. The room I was given was very small. The building looks like is about to come down. I had asked for some extra sheets and hours went by, until I had to call and remind them. Not a good experience.

Good news. . .and bad news.Posted Mar 23, 2014
First the good: (1) the price, which is hard to beat; (2) proximity, especially to the UES, Midtown and Central Park; (3) the room (comfortable and nicely designed). Now the bad: (1) the walk from the subway is desolate, bleak and unnerving; (2) the hotel wants you to pay $25 to cross the bridge to Manhattan (a cab is less than half that); (3) the woman at the desk was terrible: defensive and unhelpful when asked about the neighborhood and travel to Manhattan. Firing her would be a good start for what could be a reasonable choice for those on a budget seeking a good night's sleep just minutes from Manhattan.
