Oke hotel in Queens

Posted Mar 6, 2015
Pros: Nice view of New York's skyline from the top floor.
Cons: Total state of hotel room could be better, mostly small thing. Its the finishing touch that has to be done.
We stayed in this hotel at the end of February 2015. This is not a real bad hotel, main conclusion is that the same hotel probably can be found on Manhattan too. At our first room the ice cube machine was so loud we complained. The guy at the reception didn't discussed and gave us a new room (including a free upgrade). If you are not too picky you can stay here. The breakfast is typically american, you will be very disappointed if you expect an full European breakfast. The rooms were not too special, if you need just a place to sleep its oke, basic not luxury. Hotel is about 10 minutes walk to the subway. Although we didn't felt unsafe I wouldn't let my daughter walk there at night. From subway to Hotel is along a industrial area and the road to Manhattan, not really pretty. Below expectation

No way this can be a 4 star hotel. Staff was not accommodating. Very noisy even at 4 AM on Sat due to the rooftop bar. View from the bar was great though.

Do not stay on the weekends

Posted Feb 16, 2015
No heat. No hot water and no parking The club on the rooftop dystroid this hotel. There's bouncers and very shady people floating around the hotel. No parking at all.

Bekvemt Long Island Hotel

Posted Feb 16, 2015
Pros: Personalet Shuttle til subway Ok morgenmad
Location: Long Island - måske ikke det mest spændende kvarter. dog dejlig tæt og bekvemt for at komme til byen.
Dejligt hotel beliggende på Long Island. Ellers super :)

winter wedding

Posted Feb 12, 2015
The Ravel was close to the wedding venue and my families other hotel. The van made it easy to get to both places in the sleet and dark. It was a nice surprise to have the van available. We bought the breakfast with room and it was great.

Nice hotel but not the best

Posted Feb 10, 2015
Overall it is a nice place. I got a room with a nice view in the top floor, that made my stay more comfortable. Nice to be in the summer to enjoy setting in the balcony with the view. The room was clean and nice. However, 1- The hotel from outside does not look nice , only when u get to ur room and if u are lucky to have a nice view this is what was nice. The pictures in the website brings higher expectations while u see big difference when u arrive. 2 - hotel parking : this is my biggest disappointment as it was the only hotel listed that parking are free. Guess what? Parking are free but the website doesn't explain in details and again reality is lower than expectation. You will have to park the car ur self and usually the parking lot is full and u will have to drive around to look for a spot outside the hotel. The transportation services overall (1 out of 5). 3- the breakfast is very basic and expensive for what is provided. 4- there is a roof club which is very noisy in the weekend if u are a kind of person who sleeps before 1-2 am it will be annoying. Overall it is an ok place and not the best choice.
