Do NOT Stay Here!

Posted Apr 17, 2014
Pros: No much
Cons: Cleanliness, attentiveness of the staff
Location: Right next to main interstate heading into New York though not noisy once in the room. Not much to do around the hotel ,a few places to eat near metro
We turned up at the check in time to find the room not ready. They said they would deliver us towels later in the day but never did. The single ceiling light did not work even though we were promised it would be fixed. Overal the hotel needs a face lift and better management. Breakfast is chaos and should be avoided at all costs. On the positives the metro is only a 15 mins walk away.

Good hotel

Complimentary breakfast was decent. Not enough seating for breakfast. Walk is about a mile from the metro. Room was clean Ran out of hot water and telephone didn't work. Great stay for the price so close to Manhattan.

Good location & Great price!

The room was small but it served its purpose. The staff was very friendly and our room was always cleaned when we returned from our outings. The hotel is located in a cute, quiet neighborhood and is within walking distance of the subway!

Comfortable but too small

Posted Mar 14, 2014
When we checked in, our room's door lock wasn't working, so we had to tell them to change our room. The nxt room window lock was faulty, so they had to put a plank across the window to secure it. Breakfast area is very small, so it's best to get there early, which we had to do. Rooms are too small & corridor smells of pet. Station is 10mins walking distance. Times Square is only few stops away. They have a nice Indian restaurant nearby within walking distance & other shops too. Breakfast is a very small variety & same everyday.

Great for the Price

Posted Mar 12, 2014
My dad insisted we wouldn't be able to find a hotel in NY for less than two hundred, so I was very happy with the price of this place! The hotel lobby was clean and well-heated and our room was great for what we needed. This is obviously not a resort, but if all you want is a place to crash for a night or two without breaking the bank this hotel is just the ticket. Reasonably comfortable bed, good heating/cooling, nice water pressure in the shower. Check-in is at 3 but we arrived very early and had a show to see at 3, so they kindly held our bags in a back room until we could check in later that night. They also let us put our bags back there after we checked out, since our flight did not leave until 9PM so we were able to explore NY baggage-free all day. The continental breakfast was nothing fancy but is plenty good to get you some fuel to start the day. Pretty much bagels, cereal and a waffle maker. The only potential con is that hotel is not exactly located in a particularly clean part of town. It's not too far from subway stations though and we actually walked all the way to Manhattan one morning across the Queensboro Bridge (the walk took a little over an hour) so it is perfectly convenient. We would stay here again in the future.

Between homes

Pros: Nice rooms.. Excellent continental breakfast.
Location: Close to transportation to New York City.
I got caught in a situation where my new apartment could not be available on agreed date.. I needed a place that my girlfriend and I and the cat, could stay for a couple of days. The Queens Red Roof Inn was great, stylish room and comfortable bed. Excellent continental breakfast.

Apart from the noise from the nearby road, it was a pleasant stay.

Nice place to stay in NY.

Pros: The staff were friendly and helpful, from front desk to maids and maintenance guys. The continental breakfast was good and had a nice variety.
Cons: The rooms could use a little sprucing up, and the elevator was out of order part of the time. But otherwise, it was perfect for us and the price.
Location: The parking is free. The subway is a relatively short walk away and takes you right to Times Square and downtown.

Okay setting for city stay

Pros: room cleanliness
Cons: hire more staff
Red Roof Inn was nice for the fact that I was less than 15 mins away from RFK bridge. The room cleanliness was pleasant but the staff really was not. There was only one person at the lobby and did not have a variety of menus to order food. All in all, for the price it was OK.
