It was a bit up and down. The neighborhood is fine, place itself is fine, may be a bit over-priced. Here are the specific issues we had. We arrived and no one was there to let us in! They said they had not received any confirmation from Hotels.com and did not expect us. It took about 45 minutes for someone to arrive (Terry, who was very nice and apologetic). The room was fine too, but the bed was unusually stiff. My wife needed a lot of ibuprofin the next day from soreness. The bathroom is a community one, that was somewhat unexpected although it was clean. And the arrival of another guest at 10pm was accompanied by a lot of banging around. Fortunately, we were still awake but it seemed weird. One other thing: no breakfast is served in the morning, although there is a coffee maker. I was aware of that when I booked though.

A pleaseant suprise!Posted Jun 25, 2013 on Hotels.com
Very satisfied. Looks just like another home out front-no markings of any kind indicating its a B&B, but once inside very clean, modern décor and staff was excellent and very attentive. Only negative is that there are no rooms with personal bathrooms. The 4 guestrooms must all share the same bathroom. Also, hot breakfast is an additional charge. But overall, very happy with the place and very convenient to major roads and highways. We went to a concert at Jones beach, it was only about a 20 minute ride.

Great stay. It was like being in a family home than a B and B. On the saturday and Sunday mornings Terri cooked us a beautiful breakfast. At all other times we were given the run of the lovely house. One small negative was the lack of an ensuite bathroom but this did spoil a memorable stay.

the b & b was not very well located.Posted Jun 13, 2013
Pros: the fellow boarders were very nice, as was the owner, whom we only saw once during our two day stay.
Cons: better insulation to keep out the summer heat. better instructions on what is available at the B & B/
Location: not much.
there was only one toilet facility, we thought, as no one told us of a second toilet on the first floor that could have been also put to use. we did not discover that until the day of our departure.

LovelyPosted Apr 19, 2013 on Hotels.com
Maybe I am clouded by this being our first weekend away but I did like the space. Rooms were a little small but clean. No combs in the entire place. A bit over priced but a nice place nonetheless. The messages taped up were cute and the decor nice. The bathroom was very clean and kitchen well stocked.

Cozy and comfortable bed and breakfast experiencePosted Jun 11, 2012 on Hotels.com
My daughter and I stayed here overnight as we planned on attending the Belmont Stakes horse race the next day. The nice thing I enjoyed about the stay at this house was just the welcoming atmosphere the minute you entered the home. Everything was clean and not overdone with decor.....I really felt as if I was staying at a friends home! We both slept soundly...in spite of being in a busy neighborhood, this home is set back on a quiet street away from the commotion, yet many stores and restaurants are nearby. Also the kitchen is completely accessible, so if you wished to cook your own meals you were able to. I really enjoyed our experience here and hope to be back soon.

Anastasia's Bed: No BreakfastPosted Aug 24, 2010 on Hotels.com
This is a beautiful house at the end of a quiet one-way street. It is easy to get to and near a very nice area for running. For the price, it is definitely worth the stay. And you get what you pay for. That being said, just be aware of the following: there is no central A/C. There are window units in the bedrooms. There was no wi-fi connection for my entire 3.5 day stay. When I mentioned this to a manager as I was leaving, all she said was, "We just re-set it." No apology, and it didn't really do me any good as I was checking out. It is a B&B but there is no breakfast served. They have pastries and coffee available. On my final morning there was an overpowering smell of burnt rubber coming from the kitchen. I mentioned this to the same manager and received no response. In the end, all I did was sleep there so it was fine. In preparation for my stay, though, communication was difficult with the manager. Emails weren't sent and calls weren't returned. Again, it's a nice property and the price is right for the area. Just don't expect customer service or any extras.

Very nice stay!!Posted May 12, 2010
This was a very nice change from a standard hotel. The bedroom was very comfortable and the wash rooms were beautifully done. It is a change to have a full kitchen to actually make a dinner versus eating out when traveling. The area was very quiet and the neighborhood well maintained. I would go back.
