Great hotel not too far from Brooklyn or Manhattan

Posted Dec 24, 2014
It was an overnight stay, but it felt like a mini vacation not too far from home.

Sometimes great sometimes just ok

Posted Dec 18, 2014
Pros: The location is convenient if you can live with some of the noise. if you can take a room closer to the trains as they only come by every 45 min or so
Cons: Try and get the hair out of the shower. Could be a little cleaner.
Location: Train to NY is right there.
So i have been here 40 to 50 times in the last 3 1/2 years and sometimes its excellent sometimes just ok. This trip was ok. I would prefer that there be no hail in the ice bucket but there was and the hail stuck to the wall in the shower is always a turn off but over all its a decent place.

We stayed at this Hotel during the bad storm in New your. You have to walk outside in the bad weather to get to your room. The place is being renovated, which causes noise during the day. That is the only thing really bad about it. The staff is great and the breakfast was good also.

Great location for LIRR

Posted Dec 16, 2014
Pros: Staff very helpful and friendly. Good location to commute to NYC since hotel is adjacent to LIRR. There are a lot of good restaurants closeby.
Cons: Upgrade to bathrooms started during our stay. This should improve bathroom shower which lacked water pressure.
Location: Many good eateries within walking distance.
Hotel is average. Rooms are adequate, nothing fancy, but clean and comfortable. This is our second stay at this hotel because of its location. Easy to commute to NYC via the LIRR. There are good restaurants closeby within walking distance and staff had good recommendations on dining. We spend very little time in the hotel so this works well for us. We like staying outside the city since it is quiet and cost effective.

Perfect for "passing through."

Posted Dec 16, 2014
Pros: It was clean and fairly quiet considering its proximity to the main roads.
Cons: put some sort of carpeting noise control device on the hallways. When the cleaning crew drags their carts, before check out time, it is loud.
Location: Acceptable distance to Hofstra University. I chose the hotel due to proximity to Hofstra where I was attending an event.
Acceptable Hotel for a 1 night stay. Check-in and check-out was fast and effective. Very pleasant front desk staff. Room is clean and Wi-Fi ready. Very quiet considering the proximity to the main road but something need to be done to curb the noise from the carts when the cleaning crew drags them down the cement hallway.

Better than I expected

Posted Dec 16, 2014
Pros: Good location, clean facilities
Cons: PARKING! PARKING! PARKING!
Location: Near to NYC and the LIRR
Room was very nice, recently redone and very clean. Also on the plus side: continental breakfast was much better than expected; on the downside, parking is terrible. They have very limited parking, and even though there are reserved spaces, there are no where near enough for the people staying there.

Comfortable stay

Posted Dec 7, 2014
Pros: The restaurant.
Location: It was great to have the train station so close as we did not have a car. We came for surgery and found it possible to spend a day in New York City.
All personnel were friendly and helpful. We were able to use the computer to run off our tickets without a problem. We were also given directions to New York and the 9-1-1 Memorial which worked out perfectly!
