“Have seen better Econo Lodge”
No elevator. Had to carry the baggage to the second floor. Corridor was messy and without a/c. Room a/c was ineffective. At the same rate, I've had better experience at other Econo Lodge.
“Excellent "utility lodging"”
I wouldn't recommend this as a holiday destination or anything; but it was a clean and inexpensive place to stay close to an event. Plenty of shopping and restaurants very close along Old Country Road; easy access to the Hicksville and Mineola LIRR stations to get into NYC. (Though avoid Hicksville station unless you live in the Town of Oyster Bay, as they own and reserve every parking space within a mile of the station.) The included "continental" breakfast (bagels, muffins, coffee, tea, milk, a few cereals, orange juice) was enough for us ... and saved time and money every morning. The staff was unenthusiastic, but helpful enough and pleasant. All things considered ... for this price and location, it's everything you hope it might be, and nothing you fear it might be.
“Not Bad”
Very happy with the room, however the bathroom was very outdated. The contintal breakfast was a joke.
“Clean, comfortable, well-priced lodging”
The Econo Lodge is not a destination hotel in itself. It has no pool or health club, no elevator to the two upper floors, and no adjacent (or even particularly close) restaurant or shopping, although both can easily be found within a ten minute drive. But it is good basic lodging: clean, quiet, comfortable, very reasonably priced for the area, pleasantly and competently managed, and located on one of the main streets in central Nassau County, New York (Old Country Road) and adjacent to a major highway (Wantagh Parkway). There's a complimentary continental breakfast -- bagels, cream cheese, orange juice, cold cereals and milk, and quite good brewed-while-you-wait coffee -- each morning in the lobby, as well as free newspapers. Each room has a mini refrigerator and a microwave. If you want a hotel to meet all your worldly needs, this honestly isn't it. But if you need a welcoming place to unwind each evening and get started each morning, while you go to other places and do other things -- or maybe just put your feet up and enjoy goodies you've stashed in the mini-fridge or rewarmed in the microwave -- it's ideal. And it is one of the lowest-cost hotels in Nassau County, and for its quite decent quality a genuine bargain. I've stayed there on four consecutive trips in five years, and I'll happily do so again in the future.
“Not impressed”
Hotel was under construction with no AC in the hallways. My door wouldn't open and i had a really hard time trying to get to the hotel. Not was you see on the website.
“very roomy”
i was very happy with my recent stay. The room was large, clean very comfortable.I was alos happy that there was a refridgeator, and microwave
“Ok for the tue thru thurs rate”
Ok and average
“Average hotel”
Overall an average hotel but the continental breakfast and the wireless service was below average.
