Glen Cove Mansion Hotel

Place was fantastic! Great little getaway for us. Did not hear one sound the entire stay while in our room. We slept like kittens and the food in the Pub was great as well. Will head back again with a group of friends for sure!

Stayed at Glen Cove Mansion to attend a funeral, but while there enjoyed the comfortable room, great service and facilities.

The room we had was in buildings added onto the mansion. It appears none of the rooms are in the mansion, as the mansion has a dining room, meeting rooms, a bar, etc. Not what we expected... Good service, however.

While I would recommend this hotel for business travellers because of its conference facilities, it's not that enjoyable for couples trying to get away. Because of the beauty of the mansion online, I expected the rooms to be classic and charming. They are basically run of the mill hotel rooms, though very clean and modern, and are not contained in the mansion itself. They are built off the back of the mansion in buildings that look like college dormitories from the outside.

We love the old world Long Island, Gold Coast history of this mansion and the many architectural details of the original house are still intact. It was like walking into a bygone era - walking into history. But the hotel is much more than that as they have added many guest rooms, meeting rooms, and spa amenities to make this a premiere destination and conference center. The staff was professional and courteous, the quality and cleanliness of our room was superb. We had a lovely stay at this hotel and will definitely be returning many times.

Don't stay here

The Glen Cove Mansion is a great place to stay. It's in a historic neighborhood on Long Island in NY. A lot of the houses back there are from the 1700's and 1800's. It's not an ideal hotel to stay at for business because it is very out of the way and it can take up to 10 minutes to walk to your car if your in the far portion of the property. However if your not in a rush it's still worth it. The staff is very nice and the breakfast is AMAZING. If you go when the weather is nice out, you should take a walk around the surrounding area. Go north to the lake and bay. We stayed there after 2 feet of snow and it was gorgeous.

The pool was a little cold, but overall it was great. I wish I had mroe time with the family there to do all fo the activities. Great for the family.

Terrible stay. They stuck us way out back...having to drag luggage up and down several flight of stairs...NO elevators. Carpet are either OLD or FILTHY. No movies available...they told us that their having their Cable System replaced - not bad for one or two nights but for a week +...not good. We called to have food delivered by a local resturant...the frontdesk wouldn't allow them to bring the food in to us and the frontdesk didn't offer to take it from them.
